"Noelle, you're the one who never gave me a chance." Noelle woke up crying. The nightmare clung to her, filling her with an overwhelming sense of fear and anxiety. Barely awake, she fumbled for her phone and dialed Quentin's number. He picked up almost immediately as if he hadn't slept at all. "Hello?" His gloomy voice came through. Noelle broke down. "Quentin, why are you doing this to me? What do I owe you after three years of marriage? Why can't you let me go, even after the divorce…"

I slide into bed disappointed, but after laying my head down I fall fast asleep. Having weird dreams, I dream of everything that happened in the last couple of weeks. It's just a shame that Marissa and my dad had to die over all of this and just because of Brad. Now he is finally divorcing me and marrying Sam of all things with a baby on the way.

I replied flatly, pouring coffee into a mug. “I assume he’s still refusing to accept the divorce?” I nodded silently. She sighed, setting the whisk down. “It’s not easy walking away from a marriage, Aurelia. But if this is really what you want, you need to stand firm. No looking back.” I smiled weakly. “Thanks, Cass.” I didn’t tell her about the dream, some things were too humiliating to admit. Especially when the man in it wasn’t my husband.

I asked, trying to reflect and look up at him but I couldn't because he pressed me to his chest. "Yes, your one and only," "T-Are you for real?" I will ask. "I am just a dream," he chuckled. The budding hope in my chest died. Of course, this is just a dream. He is divorcing me so why will he hug me, right? It was just a dream or maybe it was the result of intense delirium. I hugged him back, taking advantage of him still being hugged. Because, for sure when I wake up again from this dream, I will be slapped with the bitter truth that the two of us will be separated.

Or that he’d get a repeat performance? Over my delicious body! “You’re denying me now. But don’t worry, I just got your info. Be ready—I’ll be there anytime soon, my wife.” My nose was practically bleeding from all that English. Whatever, let him be. “This is just a dream, myself. Just a dream. Just a dream. You need to find a new dream or you’re going to continue to wither away like you are now.” I stared at the kitchen door that now swung shut after he walked out. Falling onto the stool, I buried my head in my hands. I hated that he was right. I hated that he was only getting angry because he loved me. Sighing, I needed those divorce papers. After that, I would try and find a new dream. Elliot will always be my number one, but I needed something more. “Hey, you okay? Sounded like it got a little heated.” I looked up and saw Mike leaning in the kitchen door.

She took a strand of hair on her head and started folding it on her little hands. “Good…she said and then smiled “Mommy, I had a dream about you and Daddy. I dreamt that you two were back together and that you didn’t actually get a divorce. I saw you smiling at him happily. You were so happy, Mommy. I wanted to join the two of you but then the dream disappeared and I woke up. “ “Isn’t that a good dream?” Caroline pinched her cheeks again.

“These are the divorce papers….” “I want a divorce!”

I care for him, yes, but love, no. Now to the dream. I'm heartbroken it wasn't real. The way I felt in this dream, the things I saw. It was so real. This dream had to have been the universe showing my soulmate to me. Why else would I have a dream about someone I've never met before in my life? He's out there somewhere; I know it. If we had exchanged names as he wanted, would I be able to find him somehow? So stupid, I mentally slapped myself at the thought.
