Do Authors Get Paid For Library Books Novels & Stories

She wanted to ask why I needed that book. "Oh, I……. am a freelancer. And a company asked me to write an article on mental health. So, I decided to do some research." I quickly made out a story to tell her and I was very convincing. "Okay, Mr freelancer try to read this book quickly. I also need this for an assignment". She whispered and the librarian came to us. Librarian put his finger on his lips and asked us to keep quiet. I looked at the librarian and didn't pay attention to him.

“So do you see her sometimes? Did you get books with her as well?” He smiled, “Yeah she comes around on special events and I send her books. She made me go to the library with her back then. Though I didn’t like the idea, I had no choice. She always wanted to borrow all the books in the library at once but I just don't get the fun.” I smiled. “It's all the fake scenarios that go on in your head when you read that makes it fun. You feel like the main character and you get to be who you want— in your head.”

“How much do you get as a library?” “Well, around 3,800 Moon dollars, but I will get a bonus for a special occasion. For example, if the library accepts a visit from tourists, I should explain the library system to them. It’s apart from my regular work. So, they will give me an extra. It’s rare, though.” “I see. I will offer 7,500 Moon dollars, but you should stay in the castle. It is a full-time job, so you should stay there.” I gaped since Constantine offered almost twice my salary. However, I didn’t like him. Thinking of I would work for him was not a promising life. Suddenly, my head was spinning. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself, and prayed it would be better.

Just as Alanna had said, there were over 30 million reads and when she went to the income, she saw she had made over 30k dollars and was to receive 6k this month alone. “Oh my god. That’s a lot of money for a werewolf book” She whispered and couldn’t even hide the amazement in her voice. “It’s not just a werewolf book girlie. You wrote a wonderful book with so many plot twists that even Lia would never see coming and that girl has read the twistiest books” “I’m not sure twistiest is a word, Ally” Iris mused at her friend’s choice of words. “It is now” She deadpanned and Iris couldn’t help but burst out laughing. “Have you checked the bank account to see if you were paid the money?”

I even gave them too many opportunities by not claiming the copyrights of their books and an increase of royalties every time their books make it to the list of monthly best selling books on any national bookstores, and this is what they repay me for treating them nicely? "Can you get me a background check about Del Marco Publishing? What they are offering to their writers, why does everyone seems so eager to publish their stories to that motherfucker company." I ordered Liza as my face contorts upon the mention of my rival publishing company. "Right away, sir." She instantly replied and bid goodbye before leaving the office.

He hissed, staggering, but didn’t drop the makeshift weapon. Books exploded from the Librarian’s chest like shrapnel—fat tomes spinning end‑over‑end, paperbacks whistling like bricks, and loose pages turning to razor‑edged confetti. “Down!” Grant shouted. We hit the drift. A dictionary the size of a concrete block shrieked past my ear, slamming into the ground where my head had been, crushing a mound of pages into paste. The librarian reared back, chains writhing. “AUTHORS ARE RESOURCES,” it thundered. “NOT OPERATORS. NOT FREE.”

"You'll be spending more time in the library because it's a library. Who knows, perhaps you'll start studying as well. But I'm curious how you obtained the position in a library, your least favourite place." "Yeah, but the pay made me do it as well." "In any case, do it well. And while you're there, study. Furthermore, do not sleep at the library." I nodded and resumed eating. "How much do you make working there as... what job did you say?" "Assistant." "Yeah, how much do you get paid as a 'assistant?'" How should I respond? Let's say an arbitrary amount of money. "Um... a hundred dollars?" "Okay. Use it to purchase school supplies. Don't throw it out unnecessarily."

I write so I can tell stories that I want to tell, the way I want to tell them but it is always so wonderful when others enjoy them as well. As an avid reader myself, I completely understand what it means to spend our hard-earned money on an author's work. So, while I do not write for the money, I truly appreciate every coin and gem spent on my work. I would NEVER, EVER, draw out a story unnecessarily for the sole purpose of costing my readers more to read it.

Chapter 7 Jeffrey Cooper After spending almost the whole night checking out the books the head of the editorial team forwarded to me for paid social media ads, I was finally able to select a few that would be put up for paid promotion on social media, of which Aliyah was one of the authors. She has been working hard, and trust me when I say her works are good, they really are very good, and just in three months she signed her recent book, she already hit two million views and made not less than seven thousand dollars with just royalties. I love her hard-working spirit. Everything about her is so perfect.
