Lust next door
I push my glasses back on my nose.
“One more round.” I agree.
I lose, laughably so. He doesn’t gloat or laugh about it though, for that I am grateful, it doesn’t make it any easier to say something yet.
“Twenty five. Old enough?”
“It’s about my neighbor…” I start, then I tell him about how she’s been all I can think of, she’s everywhere, how I have never felt this way ever, yet it excites me, frightens me, and saddens me because we would never work.
