You and Thomas used to be inseparable back then!" Thomas hurriedly replied, "Calvin is working at Zenith Group, my future wife's company. Vivian’s POV. I recognized him immediately as one of Dominic’s friends. Dominic rarely had people he kept close except for his two best friends, David and Ted but with David out of the picture because of his betrayal, he only hung out with Ted. “If the lady says she didn’t do it then she didn’t do it.” He added gruffly with an irritated look on his face as he came to a halt in front of the man that had held onto Audrey’s arms.

“His name is Brice Peterson. The last I heard, he was in New York now.” Brice fucking Peterson. Holy shit, that name was a blast from the past. He used to be my best friend in grade school, then all the way through high school, but we grew apart after that. If what my father was saying about him was true and Brice was the kind of guy responsible for what my father referred to as Marissa’s ‘dark and battered past,’ it was no wonder we’d grown apart.

Is he the same type of person? Dominic and Colby call me every day, and we video call a lot, too. They never let our friendship fall apart, and I adore them.
