JUST BEST FRIENDS
When Yomi and Idara were finally under the shade of the tallest palm tree in the area, Yomi leaned against the tree on his side, then folded his arms as he said, “So, you were saying?”
“Yeah. Um... I, uh.” Idara stuttered, trying so hard to maintain eye contact with him. “Can I ask you a question, Yomee?”
“Sure thing. Ask.”
“Okay. So, um,” Idara started toying with her fingers like an infant, “let's assume that a good female friend of yours tells you that she's in love with you, despite the fact that you currently have a girlfriend, how'd you react?”
