Dominic and I have a similar background. We come from a rich, Latin family, even though he’s adopted. The only difference is that I’m a government-sanctioned killer, and in the eyes of the law, Dominic is considered a criminal.

The dominance in his eyes made my breathing hitch, and his amused eyebrow raised at my reaction. "Ian will also be coming with us in case anything goes wrong, which it won't because I'm the best" He smiled proudly with a playful glint in his eye, and I chuckled, but his big smile soon faded, turning into a slight smirk. "You look so pretty" He admitted. "Going soft on me again Mr. Russo?" I teased, running my hands all over his chest, tracing the tattoos that were visible through his shirt. A few buttons were undone, and a tattoo peaked out that said 'sedurre e distruggere' Written in cursive.

My thoughts were quickly confirmed when I gave him a questioning look. "Nothing," he said with a soft smirk. "You are not a very convincing liar." For a moment there, a tiny insecure moment, I thought it was game over for me and that he figured out what my real intentions were. And knowing the fact that behind his playful exterior, he was Dominic Romano, a man who valued blood and family and a man who would not hesitate once to kill me even if he had an inkling of my plans, for a brief second I blanched.

I mused, leaving Hawk to chuckle. "So, I guess that makes me Dominic Toretto." "Well," I drawled, a mischievous grin spreading across my lips as I pretended to examine him. Matteo stayed a few steps behind, quiet, observing. “Who’s the kid?” Ortega asked. Dominic didn’t even look back. “Someone I want to keep close.” Ortega smirked. “Trust issues?” “Always.” Matteo’s fingers curled slightly at his sides. Was Dominic warning him? Or protecting him? He didn’t smoke often—but today, his nerves were crawling.
