It's an odd combination of clothes, to say the least. As we approach the Arena, my heart begins to beat faster with each step I take. There was worry in his eyes; perhaps he did harbor some doubts about Salem after all. I coughed violently. “You have an army of Reapers—creatures he cannot infect. We have a chance if we work together. If we don’t, we’re both dead.”

I coughed up blood, my body wracked with pain. Tears streamed down my face, but I refused to beg. I knew that's what The Reaper wanted - for me to break, to plead for mercy. But I'd had enough of being at the mercy of men like him.

Her head whipped to me, silver orbs glassy, a faraway expression on her face. "Something's wrong," she murmured in a tone I never heard her use before. It sent a chill down my spine, "A reaper has been sent. He will arrive tomorrow night." With those words, her body went limp, skin becoming as pale as a polar bear as she collapsed back into bed.

Trained to deal with combat and other things. Reapers are normally sent out in groups to bring in the people on the list.” “They abduct people?” Callie’s eyebrow shifted up. “Kind of.” He nodded. “What do they do to the people they capture?” I asked hesitantly. “I don’t know.” Hunter replied, “Reapers are required to work on orders, no questions asked.”
