Hail nodded. Reyan sighed and stood up before he walked towards his shelf. "Ah." He muttered when he saw some books. "I only have academic books." He told him. "I don't mind." Hail said. Reyan sighed and gave him a book. Hail took it and went to the sofa and started to read. Reyan can’t help but sigh again, thinking of many things that have happened. Many emotions filled his chest. "Book, huh...?" he muttered. Suddenly, he smiled when he remembered Laggas. "Well, how about it?" he muttered and sat on the chair.

I've never been a fan of reading, yet I found myself feeling drawn. I started running my fingers through the different collections till I noticed a book that was out of place; all the books were arranged in alphabetical order, but this particular book was far off. I reached out to grab the book, and as I did, I realized it was a lever. I stood and watched as a secret passage came up behind the walls. Of course, I went into it. The passage leads me to somewhat of an office, not too small. It had pictures on the walls, and not just any pictures, pictures of the top most notorious Mafia Bosses in the city. And at the center of them all was The Reaper.

‘Okay, don’t be too long,’ I reply. ‘I haven't even reached the door, and you miss me already,’ he smiles. ‘Maybe just a little,’ I say, returning the smile. He nods and leaves the room, closing the door behind him. Reaper flies from the window ledge onto my desk and flips the front cover of the spell book open with his beak. ‘Thanks, Reaper,’ I say and scratch his head. ‘You better get reading. The world isn’t going to save itself,’ Reaper mind-links.

The sound of his boots faded down the hall. I pressed my back against the wall and slid to the floor. My body was still shaking. Not from fear. Or not only from fear. When his teeth had grazed my mark, something inside me had ignited. A heat that started at my neck and poured down through my chest, my stomach, my thighs. My skin had tightened. Kamini said that the book is very important and she needs it now.
