MICHEAL’S POV “Sir!” He turned back at the abrupt shout of his name. It was Donald panting, bent over dying to catch his breath. He adjusted his glasses and took on deep breaths before speaking. His finger stretched in the direction of the LED 22 inches Tv screen mounted on the wall in the middle of his lounge area of his office where he had had passionate love with Alina on a few occasions. He shook the traitorous thoughts out of his mind. “Have.. you… seen the news sir?!” Donald asked.

"No need to worry, Don Valeri. I'm just a secretary." For a brief moment, his chest seemed to tighten. He stepped into the rain and gripped my hand. "Tonight was my fault, but I can't lose Sofia. Whatever you've suffered, I'll make it right. Don't be stubborn." I yanked my hand free and took a few steps back. My voice was calm and flat. "Don Valeri, you must be joking. How could I ever be cross with you or Ms. Costa? I was naive before and didn't know my place. From now on, I'll remember I'm just your secretary and won't disturb you again. Are you satisfied?"

He's doing it again with out even noticing he's doing it. Nixon is a man who I've come to learn hates change and this bond, is changing him and he doesn't seem to want to let it happen or accept it. For now, she focused on the man she'd been summoned to meet with. Don was a short man, barely five feet tall. He had a thin build and shaggy hair. Most people would skip over him, dismiss him, or ridicule him. She was fairly certain his worn corduroy pants and band T-shirt were a carefully cultivated persona. Under all that was a brilliant mind. Nadine had no doubt that Don could think circles around her. But he didn't have her experience. "Sorry about that." Don smiled at her. "It's okay." She smoothed her hair and crossed to stand next to him at the outlook.

the staff replied in perfect unison. He nodded and walked in with a woman by his side, leaving the rest of his entourage waiting outside. That must be his secretary, I thought. Nathan leaned toward the receptionist, whispering, “Please... who is he? I’m guessing that’s the almighty Richard?” The receptionist smiled, almost proudly. “Yes, of course. That’s Mr. Donald Richard. Who doesn’t know him in this state or beyond? He’s a powerful man.” Nathan nodded slowly. “Yeah... I’ve seen his programs. A few short videos online, too. I always wondered if the stories were real.”

He nodded. “You may know him as Donny but his full name is Donald Carlossi. He is half Italian and Nigerian. The police have been searching for this man for years now but he has many people to do his work for him. It keeps his hands clean, mostly, and makes it hard to trail him. But you have encountered him and you might be of help to us. He is also a drug dealer and sells fake medicine in the authentic packaging of pharmaceutical companies.” I nodded. I knew that already.

After tonight, I will travel outside the country and like low for a while until everything dies down. Andrian is Skylar's fiance and I'm sure he won't rest until he finds me so I have to leave for now. I smiled in satisfaction as Skylar walked towards my table. She looks undeniably sexy this evening and I can't believe I will be having a taste of what is down there. You're a lucky man Donald!
