Flora woke up with a sharp gasp, her chest heaving as her eyes darted around the unfamiliar room. The digital clock on the mahogany nightstand read 8:00 AM. She was completely alone in the massive king-size bed. She quickly slipped her hand under the dark silk pillow. The cold, metal handle of the silver fruit knife was still there. She let out a shaky breath, leaving it hidden, and pushed the heavy blankets off her legs. She ran to the main double doors and grabbed the brass handles. She pulled with all her strength. Locked.

She replied as walked through the garden. Soon she noticed an unfamiliar array of fruits growing in the garden. "Uncle Cedric, what kind of fruits do you grow here?" She asked, pointing to the tall trees carrying colorful fruits. Cedric beamed at her. "Oh, these are some of my finest creations. Would you like a taste?" Sera's eyes lit up with excitement as she nodded eagerly. Cedric plucked a ripe fruit from a nearby tree and handed it to her. She took a bite and immediately wrinkled her nose, making a displeased face.
