*****Alpha Dexter's POV*** I paced from one end of the room to the other. I can't imagine things going south. We all had our plans well sorted out, but how the hell did Cain find out about Dorian? As soon as Dorian walked in, I quickly walked over to meet him. “What's going on, Dorian? Do you have any idea what happened?” “Huh? I don't know what you mean. I just came back from meeting with the rogues to give them their reward as promised.

And his was real quick because he never lasted more than a few seconds for each round. Dorian didn’t gloat. He didn’t need to. The way he stood there, calm and collected, shirtless under the sun with scars on display, was enough of a reminder that he was untouchable. And I wasn't sure how I felt about that considering the purpose of my mission here. He turned his head then, his eyes sweeping across the arena. Warriors stood straighter under his gaze, like children caught misbehaving. My own breath snagged when his eyes locked on me.

"Hello to you too, Dorian." Dorian leaned against the doorframe. He was six feet four inches of pure muscle and lethal grace. He wore a suit, but he looked like he would be more comfortable in leather armor holding a battle axe. He was my Head of Security. He was also the only person in this city who knew exactly what I was. "I am not enjoying it," I lied as I tapped the file against my palm. "This is just business."

I was thankful that things went the way they are. “You are okay, Aurora. They would pay for what just happened, and Mattia is dead. You just need to breathe, okay?” she told me, her tone assuring. I nodded, looking at the place where Leonardo and Mattia were. Dante had called men to come and take their bodies without getting the cops involved, using his power as the D’Angelo Capo. And now, all that was left was their blood which they were currently going to clean.

CASPIAN The universe has a twisted sense of humor. Of all the faces I imagined walking through that door for an interview at my company, his was the last. Dorian. Fucking. Keene. High school golden boy. The self-declared Alpha who once made it his goddamn mission to grind me into dust. And now he’s sitting across from me—his knees lightly bouncing, his eyes darting, and he was smiling like an eager little lamb on his first day as a staff in my company.

“She’s always had something inside. And maybe… maybe that’s why Dorian is after her.” Zade looked at me like I had grown toe heads. He slapped his palm on his forehead and sighed again for the hundredth time since we started talking about his sister and her mysterious way. “What are you saying again now?” I stepped closer. “We both know Dorian. He’s not just any guy. He’s heir to the Obsidian Claw Pack. And he's Alpha-blooded just like me. Those guys don’t waste time on weaklings. They’re cold, smart, and they plan everything.”

"Dang it." I look at Shaylee, and she looks at me, shaking her head. "Alright, 'Her Dark Knight' it is. Now we need to figure out what the play will be about," Shaylee says. And once again, Andrew surprises us. "It should be about a wolf who tries to resist his feelings for a human he's imprinted on, but the more time he spends with her, the stronger the pull becomes."

He turns, giving Sasha a glare then leaves. Dimitri looks at Sasha, “I am Gamma Dimitri of this pack, you will no longer come here and harass my Alpha, if you do you will find that I am nothing like him,” an evil smile curls on his lips, “I will hurt you in many ways little she-wolf, now leave.” I watch Sasha’s face go from fuming to terrified as she brushes past me and scurries down the stairs, I look at Dimitri, “Momma every finds out that you spoke to a female like that she will skin you.”

he says and adds,"I guess" His brown hair is dancing along with the wind. He really needs a haircut soon. Very soon as a matter of fact. Dorian Farber is the capital pack's Gamma. He is twenty one and it has been three years since he took the title and responsibilities from his father. And he is also an idiot who sometimes forgets that I hadn't shifted yet so my reflexes are not like the wolves who shifted. I am not that fast yet. But I will be. From tomorrow. And no one can stop me then.

For them. They were coming through faster now. The lost. The murdered. The forgotten. Spirits with unfinished hunger. Some whispered. Some screamed. Some laughed as they rose. Allowed them to rise, to stand, to come back for what they wanted to come back to. To get what they wanted and what they deserved. But one was silent. Always silent. Dorian. Sienna’s father. The man that I believed, I loved. He had been dead for years. Not hidden. Not erased. Just gone, peacefully, stubbornly, still.
