Novelas y relatos de Dr John Dorian

The front door swung open before we reached the porch. David filled the doorway. Six-two, broad-shouldered, with the kind of rugged handsomeness that looked good on a man pushing fifty. Gray streaking his dark hair. Deep lines around his eyes. Hands that had worked hard his whole life calloused, thick-fingered, capable. "There's my favorite daughter-in-law," he said, and his voice was a low rumble that vibrated somewhere deep in my chest. He stepped aside to let us in, and as I passed, his hand brushed my lower back. Just like the wedding. Just like Thanksgiving. Accidental. Innocent.

All those years, while my father worked late, came home with bruises he couldn't explain, woke screaming from nightmares he wouldn't talk about—she knew. And she never told me. "There's more," Alexander said gently. "If you want to keep reading." I did. *Day 21. I met another one today. Not Volkan—someone else. Younger. Crueler. He called himself Dorian.* My blood ran cold. "Dorian." Alexander leaned forward. "What does it say?" *Dorian is everything I expected vampires to be. Cruel, arrogant, hungry. He looked at me like I was meat. Like I was nothing.*

That pissed me off, so I tried confronting him, only to realize that he never came home and just abandoned me in the house, to be tormented by the remembrance of how Ria died. I couldn't step out of the mansion without having a flashback to that incident. A knock sounded on the door, distracting me from my thoughts. "Come in." I dropped the book I had been flipping through on my lap as the door opened to reveal Don Luciano and his creepy smile. A huge lump formed in my throat as I tried not to appear startled. "Yes?" I inquired, not bothering to stand up to offer him respect. This man did not deserve it, and as his son's wife, he couldn't force me. Besides, I needed to stop fearing these men

But as I approached Dorian’s office, I heard his voice through the slightly open door, speaking urgently on the phone with someone. “Elder Rex, I’ve told you already and I won’t say it again,” Dorian was saying, his voice sharp with barely controlled frustration. “The woman you brought to my pack house cannot be my mate. I don’t care what blessed bloodline she has or what powerful alliances it would create with her family. I don’t care if she’s descended from the Moon Goddess herself.” There was a pause where Elder Rex must have responded, then Dorian’s voice came again, harder this time.

Instead, they both looked at each other in the mirror. And honestly Diana's focus was broken when she saw Alpha Darren's broad chest. “So how do I use it?” Alpha Darren asked. Diana blinked her eyes a few times. “Is it like this?” Instead of pressing the right button, Alpha Darren pressed the wrong button and the hair dryer turned off. And that made Diana sure that she would dry Alpha Darren's hair instead of letting him get this job done. *"Just sit well, I'll dry your hair.” She turned the chair Alpha Darren was sitting on around to face her and started to dry his hair.

The sheets were replaced, the floor gleamed, and even the air felt too clean. I walked out into the living room and froze. Dorian sat at the dining table, still bare-chested, his wet hair slightly tousled as he scrolled through something on his phone. In front of him were multiple covered trays—steaming, expensive-looking dishes that could probably feed three people. “Join me,” he said without looking up.

I asked, stepping inside like I was afraid I was gonna mess something up. He kicked the door shut behind me and smirked. “Nah. Got a maid.” I rolled my eyes. “Yeah. Okay.” because he could afford a fucking maid. tch. He just threw his gym bag to the corner and yanked his jersey over his head. My brain promptly shut off from my line of thinking and I honestly couldn't care less about why Dorian had cleaned his room. His skin was flushed from practice, his abs tight enough to bounce a puck off, and there were these faint red bruises along his side. I didn’t even want to think about where those came from or I'd get mad all over again. Fucking Matt.

Old stone, dark wood, a fire already going in the front room when the driver let us in. Dorian was waiting in the doorway. He looked, in the soft evening light, less like the figure who had appeared out of the dark on a Millhaven sidewalk and more like an old man in a cardigan who had clearly spent the afternoon nervous about a dinner, which was a version of him I hadn't expected and found unexpectedly moving. "Julia," he said. Then, looking down: "And this must be Eli." Eli, who had no concept of formality and even less patience for it, looked up at Dorian with his usual frank assessment. "Are you really my great-grandpa?"

Dorian was busy trying to get an interior designer to come and work for him. He was still upset about the fact that Evalux declined his interview and the opportunity to work with him. He scrolled through the list of potential employees he had lined up, but was still not all that impressed. He decided that he was going to work with the blonde he had interviewed a week ago, so he called her up. "Good morning, this is Dorian Rhodes from Rhodes Enterprises," he introduced himself after the woman on the other end answered.

Penelope informed, turning off her mini hair dryer before unplugging it from the switch close to her bed. Looking at his hair which fell lightly down his forehead, she smiled at the decent job she had done before tucking the dryer back Into the convenience drawer. "I feel I should open a salon for you" Dorian said shuffling his hand through his now dried hair, still slightly warm from the devices heat. "But I won't" he deadpanned and watched how the girls wide grin fell. He held back a chuckle when she passed him a glare. Did she really want to own a salon
