he rasped. Gwen shivered slightly at his tone of voice, beads of sweat, dripping down her forehead. Although she didn't look scared on the outside, her heart was beating fast in fear. She has known Draco for many years, and by now she knew that he was very dangerous and ruthless. If she knew that he had feelings or was obsessed with Zara, she would have promised him the same, even if she knew it wasn't possible, just to avoid a situation like this.

Veronica's POV: I held Zoey in my arms, feeling her warmth against my chest as Draco entered the room with a bundle of gifts in his hands. My heart swelled with gratitude for his thoughtfulness, knowing that getting these gifts required him stepping out under the sun. "Draco, thank you," I said, my voice filled with appreciation. "These gifts are so thoughtful." He smiled warmly, his eyes gleaming with affection as he placed the gifts on the nearby table. "You deserve every bit of it, Veronica," he replied, his voice filled with sincerity. "You've been through so much, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you."

Draco asked as he came to stand next to me, handing me a glass of red wine as he took a sip of his whiskey. I eyed his glass greedily until he raised his eyebrows and gestured if I wanted the whiskey instead. With a huge grin on my face, I snatched his glass away from his hand and shoved my glass over to him instead. Draco simply took the glass with a smile and shook his head before going back to the bar and exchanging the wine glass for another whiskey on the rocks.

Aspen says. “I feel the same way, Aspen. I am in love with you. I have known since the day in the water that you were the one for me,” I say. Draco spoils our tender moment as he comes back into the room. “If you two are through with this moment you are having, we need to work out a plan to go get Deanne; come on.
