Chapter eleven Serena's POV I was setting a table for a circus family, and honestly, I deserved a medal for it. There was a pig, a junior pig, an upcoming stripper, a drug addict pretending to be a nun, an anti-prodigal son with anger issues the size of a continent, and then there was the mysterious queen mother herself; Octavia Draven. If patience was truly a virtue, then by now I should have qualified for sainthood. Unfortunately, I preferred champagne to halos, and revenge to forgiveness.

Patricia did not accept this and pushed Audrey back, she pulled Audrey's hand until the woman's body turned to face her again. "I'm not done yet, Audrey. You know very well that Kenzie is my son with Daniel. There is our blood flowing in his body. While you are just a place to ride Kenzie's birth. So, don't ever think that you are her mother. Drake, get your heir and move him to the safest place," Emily instructed. The Drake knitted his forehead. "No way!" he refused. "Whatever you are thinking, Emily, don’t do it." Drake retorted. Emily crumpled her fists even more. "Just go, Drake! Do what I say, please! " Emily hissed. Drake shook his head. "No... and I will never leave you here!" he vowed in response to Emily. She looked back at me with those dark eyes that had never once in nineteen years pretended not to see something they were seeing.
