RISSA'S POV I opened my eyes, and the morning brightness made me squint. The environment was quiet and serene. I looked to my right and noticed Drax hadn’t woken up yet. His head was bowed, and his glistening dark hair covered his eyes. “Drax!” I called to him in a whisper. “Drax!!” I called again. He raised his head slowly, revealing his bloodshot eyes. His face was all sweaty, and you could tell that he had been crying.

His dragon was on display for all to see and I gave the Elders a look as they asked him that question. “Are you calling me a liar?” Echo said through Wynter as his eyes shone yellow. “Magnificent,” Elder Jackson said. “This is truly incredible,” Elder Charles murmured. “Separate Echo,” I said. The Elders gasped as the dragon that was now a head taller than Wynter separated from him and growled at the Elders. Elder Neil actually chuckled at that and I had to smile as Abeloth rolled his eyes. “This is Echo, Wynter’s dragon,” I said.

Free falling from the sky, I couldn’t stop screaming. My arms flailed around as if trying to grab onto something, even if there was nothing to grab. Above me was a Dragon, galactic in size. He had to be as massive as a mountain. I had to admit that the Dragon was alluringly breathtaking. Luminous metallic purple scales cascaded over its entire form. Its wings arched slightly as they span across the sky. Its head turned down as it looked at me, with large radiant indigo eyes. When it redirected and started flying toward me, I stopped screaming and simply stared at the magnificent beast.
