“You need to survive long enough to ruin him. The words settled heavily inside me... ruined him. My gaze lingered on Draco’s face again despite myself. I remembered the exact way he looked beneath the flashing police lights outside the cathedral earlier. Completely calm and untouched, like death meant nothing to him. He was a monster but monsters still bled, didn’t they? Salvatore stepped toward the monitors and pressed several keys against the console. New files immediately appeared across the screens... financial records, political connections, surveillance reports, photographs of luxury estates and blood-covered crime scenes. Draco’s entire life laid open before me like pieces of a puzzle

“What? When, brother?” Ghaeron forced himself to share the tale of his great shame, one that he had shared with no one since the early days of life on Edon. “Shortly after Mother and Father had brought forth the first life here on Edon, I became fascinated with the complex weaving of mystical forces that had been utilized to do so. Such variety of living creatures had come into being! Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Minotaurs, and a host of lesser known beings, all benign and given great potential for growth. Growth is one of the constants of the universe, as you know. It is ingrained into the essence of Dragons.”

“About your wings.” “Thank you,” Ember turned away a moment, composing herself. “I have experienced a great many things,” she continued her voice gravelly with emotion. “And have been subjected to many forms of torture and violence as a Drake of The Great Queen, but this… This is unforgivable,” she said through her teeth with anger. “What is a Drake?” Lyric asked to take the subject away from the amputation of Ember’s wings.

Dragon was different—polite, calm, rational—and that was what frightened her. She approached him and asked boldly, curiosity mixing with defiance, "What are you doing, Dragon? Why do you act like nothing happened? What are you planning?" Dragon took a deep breath, stepping closer to her. With a mix of love and pain, he said, "I’m trying to kill the old Dragon—the cruel one who lost his little mate. I changed, Jenny. I changed for you." She glared at him in anger, recalling his words that she would only ever be Dragon’s whore. The powerful slap. His control. She continued to stare at him but decided to ignore everything, even his ghostly words that made her heart tremble.

"Did you say there's a dragon beneath the cave? I thought all the dragons died out thousands of years ago?" "You also thought that unicorns and werewolves were legends until a year ago. Here we are living among you now, so who's to say that dragons aren't real and walking this earth as well. There is a great dragon beneath the cave and his name is Draco. Draco is a great green dragon with hot fire and tough scales. His eyes are yellow and his tongue is red and he wants all the world of men to be dead. The last time he saw a human he burned them alive. I think you should tell him that you are a witch. That should save your life."

“With the help of me and my four brothers. That first video is real, and it is my brother Mitchell. Each of my brothers' dragons is a different color. Mine happens to be red.” I just sat staring at him. “What about those dreams all those months ago?” “My great grandfather had a gift and I think I inherited it. Yet somehow this gift brought you into it. Somehow you experienced what I was.” “And this bonding dream? Are you saying we are bonded for life?” “Yeah. My dragon recognized you even through the dreams as my mate.” I look over at the TV and saw Draco the dragon. “You look like that only red?” He smiled as he looked at the screen, “I would like to think my dragon is nicer looking.”

replied Drake, his voice dripped sympathy over the loss of such a fond friend, “Bah to the prophecy, I mean the ailments, Christ, you guys have it worse, at least Wolves can be treated if it’s caught in time, you guys just keel over,” “Sometimes, but sometimes we suffer through many attacks before our hearts finally give up, my grandfather had six over the course of three years, during which time he was unable to shift, all he wanted was to fly one last time,” Drake, not accustomed to speaking about his family had finally opened up about the painful agonizing death of one of the most famous Dragon-shifters, “Draco, that was his name?” Charlie asked, he already knew the answer, Draco was famo

Drake stiffened. “I never cared for human stories,” I admitted, gazing up at him. “They told of dragons as monsters. As beasts that needed to be slain. But I never believed that. I listened to what the wind told, the stars, the lost whispers. The ones that said dragons were kings, guardians, something more than humans could possibly grasp.” Drake did not move. But I could feel something shift in the air between us. “I saved one, you know,” I whispered. His eyes snapped to mine, something untamed and ferocious raging in his gaze. “What did you say?”

And you haven’t able to wound any of them?” Hercules coldly said after Bacchus finished explaining. He told them everything that happened except about the boys that took down Minotaur.
