“Don’t know… don’t want to know.”
Something watched them—vision sharp, edges burning. Their breaths curled like ghosts.
“Probably just a stray,” Martin said, not believing it.
Hydraulics whined. The arms lifted the dumpster. A heavy THUD hit the truck roof—metal shuddered.
Walt yelped, tumbling out of the open door. “What the—”
The bin trembled. Another bang. Then—
With a crashing boom, the dumpster slammed down, and a hulking shadow vaulted from behind it: a towering werewolf, black-furred, eyes burning amber. It hit Martin in a streak of teeth and claws.
