Hopefully you'll enjoy the next generation of Guardians as much as you enjoyed the first trilogy. Also, if you haven't tried it, I have a book out called The Arena. It's the first in the Elemental Dragons series. It's very different from this world of the Guardians. That book is filled with shifters and, you guessed it, dragons. That series is intended to have four books, one for each dragon.

It makes me wonder how many of those books are an accurate or close to accurate description of what life was really like back in those days. It was when they met the humans and began bonding themselves that their stories change. The Falkor line only bonded to women. The were the Guardians of all women, but primarily those who they were bonded to and their daughters. Draches, on the other hand, were the Protectors of men. They only bonded to men and they protected the one they were bonded to and his family. There were times where a couple could each have a dragon, but it was the dragon who determined if the human was worthy of bonding their life to.

Dragon sat with Jenny and her triplets around a small fire, its flames dancing gently and casting shifting shadows across their faces. Jerry sat beside Jackson, with Jakiri next to them. Towering over them, Dragon, with his fiery red eyes and commanding presence, exuded an aura that kept everyone on edge. Finally, there was Jenny. Without Dragons, there isn’t a balance. Dragons are a superior race, that protects the earth itself. Knowing that, I felt stupid for attempting to end my life. According to what I read, there are all kinds of Dragons. Some, such as Water Dragons, help safeguard oceans and even try to prevent natural disasters, but they are also the cause of some of them. While there are some Dragons that aren’t particularly good, most Dragons are known for their Honor.

''Noelle this is Dagahra my dragon,'' Gabriel says. The dragon slowly walks to us and puts her big head in Gabriel's arms. He scratches her behind her ears, ''It was believed that dragons were extinct, but we found frozen eggs in these mountains. We hatched them with fire and kept them hidden for many years. They are remarkable really; they chose a human to bond with and accept nobody else. Only their master can ride them, and they would die for their master.'' I slowly approach the female and she snorts at me which makes smoke come out of her nose. Gabriel pets her nose, ''It's okay Dagahra, she is with me, and I like her, okay?''
