AUTHOR'S POV A look of horror crossed Frore's eyes, watching Vayldre's body reshaping into something bigger and unbelievable. His eyes were holding hers captive, which made her gulp and feel dread deep down in her bones. Scales started appearing on his face and wings appeared behind his back, before his body completely reshaped into a Golden Dragon. A dragon so big and magnificient that Frore's breath hitched. She stumbled back and placed her hand on her mouth with her eyes almost popping out of their sockets.

Oh, Goddess, what is wrong with me? A moment later, a gust of air flew towards me and I realized Damon was shifting. I heard his bones snapping, and I turned around and saw him shifting. His tanned skin turned dark like the night, and little scales sparkled all around him. Where Damon stood only a moment ago, now there stood an enormous dark dragon. He roared at the moon, and between the sight of him and the sound of his road, I was startled and jumped back and fell on my ass. He looked over at me and started to walk towards me, and I crawled away from him out of fear.

I stare at Dakota who is looking at anywhere but at me. My heart begins to race in my chest as the urge grows. This feeling dictates that I have found my mate. But, it's wrong. Dakota can't be my mate. I've known her since she was a child. It doesn't make sense that I am feeling the bond now. It just isn't possible. 'Mate' Orin, my dragon growls in my head and I freeze. "Kota!" We both turn in the direction of Dale's voice. He's panting as he runs towards us.

His eyes slowly turned blood-red, and his tail and body began to take the form of a dragon. "Am I going to fall? No! Give me back my body!" Long Chen shouted, trying to hold himself back. But it was all in vain; he was still overwhelmed by the pain in his heart, which only accelerated the transformation of Long Chen himself. I scream as two dragons surge downwards, aiming for the kill, and I turn crawling through those surrounding me as they fight off the enemies, and I freeze when my gaze falls on my love. I rush forward, seeing him forced into human form, my stomach churning as I realise he’s missing his right leg from the thigh downwards. His entire body is bloody, and his chest has been cut open; he lies there unconscious, having been forced back into human form. No! No! My eyes burn as I use my abilities to cut through the dragons, killing them instantly before they can touch Kian, and I stagger to my feet running towards his bloody body. But before I can get to him, I’m stopped by the fae.

As her transformation begins I realize the puff of smoke she blew is in the shape of a heart and I give a hearty chuckle as the dragon disappears. Magma appears hunched on the ground completely naked and hiding herself. I run forward grabbing her blanket and tossing it to her while I turn around. When the fabric is done shifting behind me, I turn to gather her in my arms. "I stand by what I said a few days ago" she looks at me in question and I smile big as I tell her "I like your dragon." She groans a laugh as she settles once more into my arms. "Now you'll never be able to get rid of her" she whispers. I reach a hand down to cradle her chin making her meet my eyes so I can make my declarat
