“Do you even know what Slay the Dragon means? If you don’t, then you go and find out first … before you come here to complain.” Larice blinked a couple of times. What’s he talking about? Of course, she knew. That’s what everybody here had all been training for. All hunters dreamed of slaying those dragons and collecting their Dragonites to raise their ranks. But that’s not exactly what Larice Whitewind desired. She didn’t want to slay ‘any’ dragon. She wanted to slay ‘the’ dragon which razed her village and scorched her parents alive. But she knew she could never do it, knowing her fear and trauma would kill her first.

I stand rooted to the spot, a silent witness to the unfolding spectacle, my heart pounding in my chest. As I watch in awe, Thrystan conjures his own flames, crafting them into a sinuous ribbon of fire reminiscent of a dragon's coil. With practiced precision, he sends the fiery tendril hurtling towards the assailants, ensnaring them in its fiery embrace. The flames do not scorch their flesh, but bind them in place, rendering them powerless and petrified. The three men trudge up the stairs. The group meets up in the Alpha's office. Luke makes himself comfortable on the couch. Jones is content to stand in the corner while Matias and Diana make themselves comfortable behind his desk. "ALPHA!" One of the pack warriors runs in. "A dragon is here. He is insisting on talking to Beta Liam!" Diana straightens her back. "Did the dragon happen to give his name?" The wolf guard nods. "Yes, he said he was a Celtic Dragon of Fertility. Goes by Drogo." Diana's eyes beam in hope. "Show him in at once."

It was worth taking a chance that getting enough flaming oil around them would work. Ghaeron did not need oil. The Dragon swept over the group, flaming, but barely singed the outer edges thanks to the mystical shield. He made a second attempt with no better result. With a roar of frustration, he landed behind the attacking Moran’kaar and swept his foreleg through the rearmost members. Their misshapen bodies were knocked aside and torn asunder, some of them twitching unnaturally though they were in two or more pieces. The Dragon’s second attack was forestalled by the Alva’himar, who sent a volley of energy at him. Flinching, he spat flame in their direction, knowing they would deflect it but

I tried to adjust my lying position so I was on my side but every part of my body ached. I glanced down at my body. I was still in my stained clothes. I felt bad about the dirt getting on the bedcovers, but I didn’t do it intentionally. The Wolf Slayer. He saved me from the warrior. Why? I’ve heard he treated woman badly. He has lovers but they were all scared of him. It wasn’t because I was his mate. That definitely didn’t mean much to men like him. I wasn’t understanding any of it.

And her eyes blazed gold. Her body shook with fury as the fracture tore wider, molten cracks spreading across her skin like fire-carved veins. Her scream split the cavern, echoing like a war cry. Kael staggered back a single step, his smile finally faltering. The dragon’s broken form stirred, its massive eye flickering open. Its voice, faint but resolute, thundered once more: “Bond-bearer, decide. Now.” The ground split again. Lava surged. Shadows lashed. Sera’s body convulsed as power ripped through her, tearing her between two paths, consume Adrien and rise with Kael, or let him go and risk losing everything.

I jumped back and composed myself, this guy shouldn’t be taken lightly. My arm is shaking from that punch. I have never felt a skull that hard, what the heck is he taking? Some sort of wolverine serum or what? Damn, that hurt! I shook my hands and got into my attack position. “You got a naughty hard boiled head, eh?” I mocked. “I am the mighty soldier of the October Family! Dylan the Dragon of the North! My power is so immense that the likes of you lowlifes will never attain in your pitiful life.” His eyes widen and he fixed his glare to me while smirking like a psychopath.

Rachel stood up straight and looked at Aurora as she said, "Sect Master Hansen, Darryl did kill Abbess Mother Serendipity!" "Darryl!" Aurora's face was cold as she raised her hand and released a strong vibration from her internal energy. A white, icy dragon appeared and circled Aurora. Its loud, clear roar was heard all around the place! "Icy Dragon Punch," Aurora muttered as she pushed her fist forward. Roar! The icy dragon cried as he flew straight at Darryl!

The rest had retreated to a safer distance. Swiftly Mantegor raced down the slope. The Elder Dragon continued his efforts to free himself. Mantegor leapt the last remaining yards, the sword in his hand an arc of glittering steel as it descended towards the Elder Dragon's serpentine neck. The razor-sharp steel bit deep into the coiled muscles that protected the dragon's throat, half severing it. A gout of hot black blood splashed over Mantegor's arms and shoulders. It was over. The Elder Dragon lay dying at his feet. He peered up at his slayer. "So I die at last," he said. "Killed by the one I showed mercy, just as was prophesied."

Or at least he’d be there to help her clean up her own blood. Slate must’ve finished his directions to the massive man who must’ve also been a dragon shifter at one time, before the Heart of Magic had been stolen from them. The rest of the crowd backed up, and Gator took a defensive stance. Since she hadn’t been listening to Slate when he was talking to the other dragon, she didn’t know for sure what was about to happen, until she utilized her mind’s eye and realized she was meant to attack this gigantic warrior.
