Dragon's Blood (Book Two)

Dragon's Blood (Book Two)

I tell him. Flavius nods in response and begins to pack his things. I fill my satchel with various clothing items and few books. "Why are you packing books?" Flavius asks curiously. "Since we are visiting another horde without sending a messenger ahead, I need to bring something that will serve as a gift. Those of the Horde of Fates are known knowledge seekers. I have many books in my private collection that have not been seen since The Fires. They should serve as a suitable present," I say.

The Fantasy Maker

The Fantasy Maker

There were modern novels, too, including Stephen King and Sidney Sheldon, but they didn't look as well read as some of the others. Dante moved up behind her and gripped her shoulders, kneading them gently just as her fingers tripped over a copy of Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy. "You read a lot." "I do," he said. She slipped her fingers onto the shelf surface, her fingers making a mark in the thin layer of dust there. Just as she began to turn, she noticed another mark in the dust, as though something normally sat there but had been moved. "Why don't you," he began, pushing her back against the shelf, making it teeter slightly, "go take off some of these clothes while I change the sheet

Reincarnation: Rise of Cat Beast

Reincarnation: Rise of Cat Beast

The man hidden under the cloak didn't say any refusals and took the explanation very lightly. The merchant's tone is how scammers on the Earth sound when they are luring their victims into their trap, but this man who doesn't look like he can easily be deceived, fall for that modus operandi! Caden didn't know what to say. The merchant boss, however, was delighted, even forgetting the neglect of his assistant of who knows where hole did it crawl into. "See, you are worth 3 gold coins, you have to work hard to help me in exchange, help me find the way to the Spirit Realm."

Antonina
the book is really nice, but Bailey is so immature and annoying, her actions in the last chapters just put me off so much, it’s like she makes me not want to read any further. Gray deserves way better.
JC..
I would love to read the (or a) chapter where Bailey first discovers that Grey is her mate. I don’t know if you intended to skip that part of the story or if it is a hiccup in the way chapters are loaded.

The Mafia Lord And His Forbidden Princess (Book 2)

The Mafia Lord And His Forbidden Princess (Book 2)

ROSALINE I would burn in hell for this. No, not even the devil would take me for the way I had betrayed my people. If my brother learnt of my little crusade with the enemy, it would be worse than hell for me. If I had known I would wake up in De Luca’s bed, naked and smelling of him, I would have never entertained the idea of drinking with him. I ran a hand through my tangled hair. There was no arguing that I looked like sex if that was even a thing. My eyes drifted to De Luca, his chest pressed to the mattress, breathing even and face peaceful. Do all Mafiosos look this unbothered when asleep?

The Chosen One

The Chosen One

"What is a dream dweller, Elfar?" "Dream dweller is the bridge of the supernatural. Between the dream realms and ours. Anyone powerful enough could invade your mind and pass the bridge... thus making you an oracle. The one who sees the past and the future. And if someone who could seize your mind, could control you. That is why your father wanted you gone rather than bestowing you the curse of the gods. He wasn't a terrible man, you know. He just wanted to have an ordinary life. A happy one. Daniel could smell the smoke as he ran. “Emma!” he screamed not caring what a noise he made or who might see him.

THE DEBT OF DESIRE

THE DEBT OF DESIRE

He was sweating, his hands trembling slightly as he greeted Matteo. "Don Matteo," Thornton’s voice was strained, forced. "I... I wasn’t expecting you." "You should have been," Matteo replied coolly, stepping inside without an invitation. "Where’s the money, Thornton?" Thornton’s face went pale. "It’s... it’s complicated. You have to understand, I—" "I don’t need your excuses," Matteo cut him off, his voice low and dangerous. "You owe me, and I expect you to pay." "I will, I will. Just... please, don’t hurt me." Thornton’s voice wavered, his desperation clear. "I have something else I can offer. Something more valuable than money."

His Christmas Mate

His Christmas Mate

The letters were not carefully printed; they looked rushed and hungry. The book talked about a demon god called Korvath. The name felt like a bruise. According to the pages, Korvath could grant wishes. Any wish, so long as you paid the price. The writing described rituals with red ink and pictures that made my skin crawl. There were steps to please Korvath and long lists of sacrifices and bargains. The book showed diagrams of altars and called for blood at midnight and ashes as proof.
