Drunken Princess Novels & Stories

his smile was force and Fredrick wished he’d stop. “It’s settled then” the elderly woman announced. She stared at space for a while. The princess looked at her questioningly. Young girls, dressed in pale pink, came from behind the hall’s curtains, serving them drinks. The girls had chains to their legs and hands. The smallest girl served the Princess, she tarried long admiring the princess’s delicate face. When she met her gaze, she looked away. “I suppose your maidens are at the least educated?” the princess spoke for the first time. There was melody in her every word.

She held it toward her daughter with a satisfied curl of her lips. “To the fall of the High Realm’s most beloved princess,” she said, each word dripping with delight. Seraphine laughed, a sharp, brittle sound that cut the air. She clinked her glass against her mother’s, eyes bright with triumph. “To the beginning of our reign.” They drank. Seraphine sprawled back in her velvet chair, one leg draped over the other, her gown shimmering in soft shades of rose gold and cream. She looked breathtaking, radiant, victorious. The look of someone who finally believed the world had been set right beneath her feet.

Unlike the three-panel format I’d seen before, this one told a sweeping story maybe ten, twelve scenes etched into one continuous timber. I stepped closer, and Ron appeared beside me once again. “Ah, the missing princess,” he said with a nod. “Most folks miss that one. This beam tells the tale of The Order’s only failure.” I blinked, intrigued. “The Order failed?” He smiled, eyes gleaming. “Oh yes. It begins with Duke Lockwood the ruler of this land long ago. He had a daughter, Lilliana. Said to be the most beautiful woman in all the provinces. But her father was… protective, some say obsessive. He kept her hidden away in a tower, allowing visits only from her tutor and himself.”

Damon ordered. “No, don't touch me. All of you!” Princess Sheila barked when her guards came to take her inside. “I'll take her,” I offered. How could she get so drunk so fast… I helped her inside. And I almost regretted it. My ears bled. She talked so much and her emotions switched up so fast. She was such a terrible drunk. “He's so blind! So damn blind…handsome face but blockhead…” she whined, gulping more and more wine.

I had to do this right, so my efforts won't be in vain. I walked into her room and walked around, searching for anything that could give me a clue about her secret life. I knew the princess was smart and really quick witted. As I walk around the room, I passed the window. As I looked out, I saw her. Crying, amongst the flowers. She was always amongst the sunflowers. I guess she really liked them. I really felt bad for her, having to be forced to do something you don't want to, but have no choice to. I know how it felt.

The effect attracted a few drunk eyes, but they turned away as soon as they stared and kept on dancing. It was a nightclub. And pretty boys fighting over a hot ass wearing a naughty little red dress happened every other night. So there you know. The bastard stood up and scurried away in surrender. Still, the drunk princess didn't notice. All she did was wobble in her heels and giggle uncontrollably. 'What's so funny??' Arian wondered helplessly. He called out and tried to pull her away from the noise and crowd, but she wouldn't let him.

One by one, the Court of the Women came alive. The silk-lined walls shimmered in the golden light of morning. Trumpets gave a gentle cry. Then, the heavy doors at the far end of the hall opened. The palace announcer stepped forward, scroll in hand, voice echoing across the court. > “Presenting the Ten Honored Concubines of His Majesty King Drakonios of Qombinia.” A hush fell over the room. Serastra, Dragon Princess of Ashkar, entered first.

Mother looked like she was about to faint, and Lisa covered her face. The dragons were openly laughing now. It was a blatant insult meant to show everyone exactly how worthless I, a human bride was to the Dark Prince. I swallowed the burning lump of humiliation in my throat, then kept my spine straight, staring directly at the old seer. "Proceed," I said, the calmness in my voice surprised even me.

Rhae chuckled to herself. "I just came here to-" He paused, realising he couldn't disclose that he came here to check on how she was doing.
