Eclipse of the Dead

Eclipse of the Dead

I walked into the briefing room, my boots clicking softly against the cold tile, and that’s when I saw him. Ethan Cole. The man who had become a legend in his own right. Tall, broad-shouldered, his jaw set in a way that seemed to tell the world that he wasn’t going to back down from anything. Even though we were separated by a large conference table, his presence seemed to fill the room, making everything else fade into the background. He turned when he heard my footsteps, his piercing blue eyes locking onto mine. He didn’t smile, didn’t greet me with any formalities. He simply nodded, and that was enough.

Lake Creek

Gabby's eyes darted around. "What?" "Would.You.Like.Another.Book.Eleanor?" Eleanor watched Gabby look around and looked around herself. Were they being watched? "Wh... I... Uhm... Sure." Gabby left and came back a while later with a big book titled, 'THE LEGENDS OF BIGFOOT"

Hiding the Billionaire's Son

Hiding the Billionaire's Son

She still has to keep her honorable image in front of her crush or else she'll stay single forever! “Baby… The thing is, I just want your mother to walk while wearing my clothes… That's all!” she nervously explained. “Okay. Just walking right? I'll talk to mom,” he casually said before opening his bag and picking up a notebook. The two adults heaved a sigh of relief when they heard Eon's agreement. When Taylor looked at the rearview mirror, he saw Eon reading something. “Eon, what are you reading?” Eon looked up and answered, “It's just a compilation of useful theories that can help me. Dad made this for me.”

The Eclipse of the Unbroken Luna

The Eclipse of the Unbroken Luna

Kaelen said softly, his voice thick with pride. "And they will have the tools to shape it," Elena replied. She turned from the window to her desk, where a printed copy of the final, expanded edition of *The Momentum Engine* sat waiting. It was more than a book; it was a testament to the journey—from the halls of the Julius School to the corridors of power, from the trauma of the Bloodstone ruins to the creation of the Looms. It was a manual for anyone who dared to turn their ambition into an engine for positive change.

Hanging in the balance

Hanging in the balance

I ask the group as we all grab a coffee and head over to the brainstorming section that Gabriel had set up for us, I must say I quite like it. "Well, that is easy, I know someone who owes me a favor and they will have a press conference about how ludicrous this entire ordeal is, we can blame it on wolves and cults. As in actual wolves, not the ones who turn into humans and cults as in human extremists. Is everyone happy with that?" everyone nods in agreement and picks up the books. I happened to pick up the book of Enoch. As in the book that was removed from the bible, I look up at Gabriel and wave the book very subtly and he nods his head, confirming my suspicion with a cute smirk at the en

Triple Temptation

Triple Temptation

"It can only be awakened." Theon's face twisted in rage. "What folly is this? Take her." As Theon's guards moved in on Noria, she held up the book. The cover was pale, bone-white, and it glowed with a soft, unearthly light. "This is the Codex of Lunas. The true history of the Omega."

The Accused Mate

The Accused Mate

Elias asked, shocked. Before anyone could answer, a bright light filled the cabin. Something appeared in the air before me—a book, old and worn, its pages flapping as if caught in a wind. It floated for a moment, then dropped into my hands. The moment I touched it, pictures flooded my mind: An old woman with silver hair facing a beautiful woman with black eyes. Blood dripping from stone walls as symbols glowed with blue fire. A man with a scarred face—Orion—holding a red leather book.

Fated To The Alpha Twins

Fated To The Alpha Twins

Alison almost growled, catching a few ears inside the resto so I piped her down. “Let him explain first, and most importantly, can you tell us who he is?” I shifted my gaze towards him, he played with his fingers. “Eon. The beta of our pack.” He sighed heavily after saying those words. Alison’s eyes widened in shock, her mouth filled with fries almost gaping wide open. I wasn’t surprised because I kind of felt that something was going on between them when they stared at each other back when we were eating at the cafeteria. “The moon goddess must’ve been mistaken, we’ve come of age but I didn’t—the Alphas went on a trip with him, right?” I cut him off.

Beyond Beta's Rejection

Beyond Beta's Rejection

Aaron looked at the front and his eyes bulged out and then he shook his head. “Well, at least it’s a saving grace that part of the myth is real too,” he walked over and put the book down on the table. It was made of leather and had gold inlay on the front. I recognised the symbol straight away as the pendant that Elias had me wear the night of the ball. The one that belonged to his sister. The title of the book stood out to me and just seeing it felt like it unlocked something in me. I wasn’t aware whether I felt excited or scared.

Syrena
This book is superb. Most definitely worth every cent and leaves you wanting more. I love that there are actual adults in this storyline, that’s a rarity in itself! This author is a talented writer and I look forward to reading the rest of this book and looking into any others by her.
Chicken little
trigger warning: abuse, s3xual abuse, r4pe. the characters and story line are very compelling. the first 20 chapters feature a very weak female lead, but keep reading and she becomes an damaged, but strong woman. just keep reading. as I write the story is not finished. some plot is inconsistent.

I asked and he smirked. "I've been doing some studying lately. I found the book in the special collection section of the library" he said and I narrowed my eyes. "So what? You stole a book from a library?" I asked and he shrugged. "Maybe?" "Enzo, why would you do that?" "I found something about gods, godesses and demigods..." "Yeah, it's probably fiction" "No, it's not. Most of the things I found are true. The book was written by a Shaman who'd once entered the underworld"

Frequently Asked Questions

I stumbled upon 'Aeon' a few years back while browsing a dusty secondhand bookstore, and it instantly gripped me with its surreal, almost dreamlike prose. The novel's author, Greg Egan, is one of those sci-fi visionaries who blends hard science with existential philosophy—think quantum physics meets metaphysics. His work isn't just about plot; it's about bending your perception of reality. 'Aeon' feels like a puzzle where every chapter unlocks a new layer of the universe's strangeness.

What I love about Egan is how he refuses to spoon-feed readers. You have to wrestle with concepts like alternate timelines and consciousness uploads, but the payoff is mind-blowing. If you enjoy writers like Ted Chiang or Liu Cixin, Egan's stuff will feel like diving into the deep end of a cosmic pool. Just don't expect to surface unchanged.
