Dull Ache Under Left Shoulder Blade Novels & Stories

My bones ache. At some point over the last couple of days, my ribs took some damage... When was it? My brain is full of fog. I can't remember. During the thrill of the chase, the exhilaration, while I was hyped on adrenaline, I didn't notice any of this, but now, as fatigue settles, my side aches abominably, stabbing at me if I twist incautiously. I'm sure she was worried. I looked around when I spotted the button over my left side. I sighed, reaching that button seemed like a lot of work right now. I took a deep breath before leaning towards my left to reach the button. I felt a scalding pain in my left shoulder and I couldn't help it but I cried out in pain. That would get a nurse's attention because it was semi-cry and part growl. My right hand touched my left shoulder to numb the pain and I felt a padding of bandages in my shoulder. Was my shoulder the reason I was in the hospital?

The pain is so intense that I freeze, unable to move or even turn my head. Darkness crowds at the edges of my vision, and I find myself gasping for breath.

I couldn't even move my right arm well without feeling the ache on my shoulder blade. The accident had left severe injuries on my back, and my shoulders, and also my knee. It was serious and I couldn't even look at it clearly earlier this morning. The pain in my knee was more serious, because I was practically limping at the moment, though one wouldn't easily notice.

A dull throb pulses through my side, steady now, not sharp like before but deep enough to make every breath uncomfortable. I inhale slowly. It still hurts. I push through it. “Move,” I tell myself under my breath, forcing my hand to press harder into the ground as I try again to lift my weight. My arm shakes. My shoulder protests. My body gives me just enough to shift slightly before it drops me back down harder than I want. A quiet groan slips out before I can stop it. “Yeah… that’s not good,” I mutter, my voice low, a faint edge of frustration slipping through despite everything.

The specific kind of slowness meant she wanted me to see exactly what was coming with enough time to feel it fully before it happened. My arms had gone past the dull ache and into that sharp, burning numbness that lived in the joint when it had been forced back at the wrong angle for too long. I then lay down on the bench and started doing the dumbbell flys. After that, external rotators, wrist curls, and reverse wrist curls. Alas, the barbell. I lifted it up and cursed. It's heavier than I thought. I lifted it a couple of times, and just when I reached my RM, I gasped. I was lifting the barbell up and behind my neck when my grip faltered. A sharp stabbing pain erupted from my shoulders, and I fell down from the chair. It's like my left shoulder was being burnt.
