Dungeon Books Novels & Stories

It’s like my own personal heaven. I walk slowly between the rows, dragging my fingers along the spines of the books. Some are new. Some are so old their titles have faded off completely. I find books on werewolf history, on herbs and healing, on the different bloodlines of the kingdom. I even find one that looks like a cookbook, filled with strange ingredients I’ve never heard of. I lose track of time flipping through them, sinking into a worn leather chair near the center of the room. The quiet is peaceful. So different from the chaos outside these walls.

He took a lantern with him because these books were locked in a dark room, and the bulb had since died. "If there's something like that at the Eastmoon palace. It should be right here." "Here?" I stared in horror at the pile, begging for him to be wrong. But he shook his head, and I cursed the universe. "Yes, but there should only be about two books on the druids. Nothing more. They are pretty small books, so be careful, yeah?" "I should be careful?" I squinted in confusion. "Aren't you going to help me find it?"

I wasn't fortunate enough to have Gwen with me this time, though. I had searched the house for anything that remotely piqued my interest that wouldn't get me in trouble. The only thing I settled on was taking a book from the dusty shelf downstairs. I'm almost certain he has it there just for appearances. The books still smelled fresh and had no weathering. I didn't recognize any of the titles, considering they were all human books I hadn't seen before. I settled on one about a warrior and his lover, fighting through the brick of war together.

The once innocent lad is now at the ripe age of ten years old and for five years, learning and living under the headmaster’s world. Within the smallest of rooms and on the bottom floor rest a space that has been lived in for nearly five years. There are two cots on opposite ends of the squared-off chamber and on each end right by the beds are a pair of twin desks. These davenports have been through endless generations of usages it seems. The top of the wooden surface has tally marks and names carved inside the framework. By the looks of it, a knife did most of the work. Its legs are thick and provide a foundation for the four legs to hold up the endless weight of others' subsequent life duri

Cobwebs and litter of dust spread all over the place. I think it's an underground library, also based on the look, structure, and books placed here. We reached the lowest part of the stairs,, but I feel like I am choking here underground, lacking the oxygen that provides for my needs. “Are—” “Shhh”, I put my finger in my mouth, gesturing him to not speak as we heard footsteps above. They started to raid the whole place searching for us. I tried not to cough from the dust flying, joining the air we breathe. Cobwebs are also hanging in different corners of the room and the books seemed to unopened for so long. I walk in the shelves nearest my standing place, trying to divert my attention. I tr

It seemed old, and I questioned if it was part of the original castle structure. I kept Diana in my line of sight as I made my way in the opposite direction. I wanted to be able to get to her quickly if something were to happen. I walked through the shelves, scanning the books to see if I could find what I was looking for. As I walked further into the darkness, I started to wonder if I was in the wrong section. Most of the books on the shelves were about history, scientific research, and ledgers.

The smell of stale coffee added its own twist to this busy atmosphere. Aziz, a Turkish hunter with a dragon tattoo on his right upper arm and Seth, the blonde asshole from duty, laughed and met us and disappeared down the stairs to the training rooms. There was only one door to the right from the corridor. It led into the guild's open plan office, which was separated from the visitor area by a long, scratched counter.

It was utterly breathtaking. After sitting and watching the view for a few moments, I decided to explore the books. My finger ran lazily along the moulded wooden shelves, reading the titles of the books to see if I recognized any. Many were antiques, some Italian and some English. There was a small section on cooking, a larger section on gardening and an even larger section on romance novels. I even found the karma sutra amongst what I can only classify as the ‘self help’ section, opening it and then quickly closing it in case Enzo or his mother entered the room.

he asked with furrowed brows and suspecting eyes. "This is called intra librum, literally means inside the book. Here you can enter the world of the book and experience it first hand," His eyes suddenly glistened, his mouth opened while turning around—the same expression when he first toured the meadows of Pixie Realm. "You mean to say I can enter a book from here?" "Yes, that's what I said," Doom excitedly scanned the book titles. He kept on asking me if I was telling the truth or just pranking him. He asked several questions about how it worked and the likes. He finally grabbed a copy of the book he wanted to enter.
