"You're on, Daniel. What game are we playing?" Daniel motioned to the nearby roulette table, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Roulette, of course. It's a game of chance, but let's see if your luck holds." With an air of confidence, Mia agreed to the challenge, and they made their way to the roulette table. Mia's luck seemed boundless as she won another round against Daniel, doubling the stakes once more. The crowd that had gathered around the table erupted into applause and cheers, captivated by the high-stakes duel between Mia and the charismatic challenger.

"We need to randomize the gate rotations. No predictable patterns. Different pairs every night. Rotation assignments decided forty eight hours in advance maximum." "Daniel can implement that this week," Levi said. "I already asked him this morning before we left," I said. Levi looked at me. "You asked him before telling me," he said. "It was six in the morning," I said. "You were asleep." "Ray," he said. "It was a security issue," I said. "It needed to move." "I'm the Alpha," he said. "And I'm the Beta," I said. "That's the job. You said it yourself. Different skills. Same direction." I held his gaze. "I flagged it to Daniel and I'm telling you now. That's how it works."

Theo nodded and said, “That's right. This is just like a game of roulette. The person in charge spins the roulette while the players make a bet. If they’re right, they win. Of course, if the person in charge wants a certain person to win the game, it can be done too.” Philip understood immediately. This was the unspoken rule.

“More training, same skeleton.” “With one change,” Rin said. She moved closer to the board, reached up, and shifted three tokens. “These outposts here, here, and here: we rotate ward‑trained wolves through them on a predictable schedule. Not enough that the cult can plan around them easily, but enough that any given symbol has a decent chance of being seen by someone who knows what they’re looking at.” Rowan’s brow jumped. “You’re volunteering my people for more field time,” he said, but without real complaint. “You realize that means more accidents with misdrawn circles and nervous warriors flinching at glows.”

I forced myself to ignore Leo's disgusting guilt. The after-party was in the penthouse suite. The alcohol made the air feel dangerous and raw. "Let's play a game!" Marco, a young heir from another family, shouted. "Vodka Roulette!" Everyone gathered around. "Simple rules," Marco said, holding up a bottle of vodka. "We spin the wheel. Whoever it lands on has to do a dare. Refuse, you down a full glass." The wheel started spinning.

Host: “Mesdames et messieurs, welcome to your first taste of trouble. Before we set fire to the night, let’s start with a little spark. Today’s game is called Truth or Dare: Couples Roulette. Simple rules… with unpredictable results.” Everyone cheered—well, everyone apart from the nerd who seemed to barely contain his nervousness. Let’s just hope the cameras aren’t on us right now. Host: “In these two bowls we have folded papers. One holds your fate—Truth or Dare. In the second bowl, we have two colored papers—blue for the truth questions, pink for the dares.

Ding! "Congratulations to the host for obtaining a one-time lucky draw chance." The system’s sound was heard in Lucas' mind. Lucas thought to himself that such cheat codes often came to him effortlessly. Without thinking too much, he used that one-time lucky draw chance. Subsequently, the imaginary pointer started spinning on the roulette. After a few seconds, it stopped. Ding! "Congratulations to the host for obtaining a skill to change a zombie's gender." Skill to change a zombie's gender: enables the host to change the gender of a zombie to his liking. It can only be used once on each zombie.

" I let out a cold laugh and shook her hand off. But she stumbled backward and landed hard on the floor. Dale froze for a second before rushing forward to gather Maya in his arms and comfort her. According to the practical assessment protocols, every team had to meet a strict headcount requirement, or the entire unit would have to forfeit the tournament. And before every assessment, candidates drew lots to determine who would compete or remain on reserve. Some wolves were unlucky enough to draw the reserve status for three years straight. Only after five consecutive reserve draws would they automatically receive a guaranteed active competing slot. I, on the other hand, was lucky enough to dr

"Ladies and gentlemen, you'll be asked to perform a task. If you do, you'll get a reward. But if you don't, then you'll have to compensate with something else." He brought out a coin and pointed to a raffle drum in a corner, "There are about 32 of us here. I had our names written and dropped into the drum. So there'll be a random draw and two names will be picked. Those two will pair up and toss the coin, whoever wins gives the task, while the other has to compensate if they can't perform the task." He looked around, "Are we ready for the game?" "Yes!" Everyone chorused. "Good guys, we're playing four rounds of the game. And remember you can't back out once you're picked," he said and clappe

“Give the orders. Triple the watches at every gate. Put archers on the rooftops.” Summoning his Beta, Rurik, he instructs him to make the patrol rotations at the Moonbinding Ball completely unpredictable–random times, random pairings, no patterns anyone could anticipate. “That’s a good start, but we’ll need more than rotating patrols,” I say, pacing in front of the map spread across the table. “We need to make it look like we’re running routine drills.” “They’ll expect us to be careless,” Rurik adds. “Distracted with the ball.”
