the other Lydia says in my mind, her voice distant yet firm. I grit my teeth and reach forward again. This time, I let myself fall into the light completely. It feels like stepping straight into the heart of the sun. The heat devours everything. I can’t breathe, can’t think. My body feels like it’s breaking apart. My scream never leaves my lips, swallowed by the blinding brilliance. My skin dissolves, my blood turns to mist, my bones shatter. The pain is unbearable, but somewhere deep within it, I understand—it isn’t the light destroying me, it’s the poison burning out of me. Every piece of darkness Baron left behind is turning to ash.

I looked at him as he opened it. Of course, his mom would find it quite weird if she discovered that we hadn't been sharing the same bedroom. "You can start unpacking. I've got a conference call to deal with." Justin left as I stepped into the dark-themed, aesthetically designed bedroom. The walls had a stunning midnight decor and there was a luxurious tufted bed, an elegant chandelier, vintage furniture, a gallery with a TV wall panel and soft golden lighting. This was definitely Justin Martínez's sanctuary.

She nodded and smiled. “Thank you. I haven’t had a good meal in years." I stayed quiet for a couple of minutes, watching customers enter the diner. I thought more about what my father told me. About the night my brother died the same night as my mother. If he died, why did Mismaia call him ‘the devil’? Both of what they told me aren’t lining up.

Evan cried. “You came back to ensure he died,” Nick said kneeling. “You did that.” He said looking at Evan. “Go back to the future, you will face another darkness, your mother will seek you again, she is only gone now, but her soul still plagues this world, new darkness as awakened. You’ve only killed one; there are others more sinister than his. Go now you are who they seek, and they will not stop until they have you.” -The End-

Something about Luke's words sounded cryptic. "You will find out soon enough." Luke replied, suddenly shifting his gaze from Daniel to Annabelle and giving her a pitiful smile. She raised her eyebrow in return.What was he talking about? Those were his last words as he closed his eyes for the final time. Red veins began to appear on his corpse and glowed. Soon enough,light burst out from him in form of an explosion,blinding everyone momentarily.When the light died down,his body was gone and a pile of ash stood in it's place.

Seraphina’s POV The flames were dying. Ash curled upward in the suffocating dark of the library, thin spirals of smoke clinging to the vaulted ceiling like desperate prayers that refused to rise. The last of the glowing pages fell into cinders on the stone floor, and the light it had given us—the fragile, blessed shield—dissolved into nothing. Beyond that circle of dying fire, the monsters closed in, shadows weaving between bookshelves, claws dragging over wood and stone, eyes like fragments of the abyss.

He couldn't finish his sentence because I held his hand. "T-Thank you very much. Thank you very much for all you have helped me, Mr. Ezrael. I don't know how I will pay off all my debts to you, but maybe Mother Esme is right that I can also find the light, and that's you. You are the light that will serve as my hope. Astrid’s POV Darkness was supposed to be peaceful. Instead, it felt endless. Heavy. Suffocating. My body lay cold against the marble steps, but I couldn’t feel the ground anymore. The pain in my stomach was fading, replaced by a strange numbness spreading through my limbs. I knew what that meant. I was dying. It came with unbearable clarity. The sky above me was vast and quiet, scattered with stars that seemed indifferent to my suffering. The mansion lights glowed behind me, warm and golden — but that warmth felt like it belonged to another life.
