The sound vibrated through his chest and into mine. That reminder hit me like cold water. The raid was still happening. These men were tearing through his house right now, and Henry was losing control. A twisted spark of hope lit up inside me. If they found some illegal drugs, documents, whatever then this could be my way out. Professor Roger would have to separate us. No more forced partnership. No more Henry Williams ruining my life. But that hope was quickly drowned out by the fear crawling up my throat. Because right now, Henry looked dangerous. Really dangerous.

Ryan mumbled under his breath,watching Samantha in amazement. Olgy pointed the pistol at her face but a quick punch from Ryan sent the pistol flying off his hand. Henry surged towards Samantha as Ryan took on Olgy. Samantha beat up Henry black and blue until he managed to escape. Olgy, seeing Henry running away, he broke free from Ryan's grips and he ran after Henry. They both dragged Danny into the car while Ryan tried to chase after them. “Let them be,” Samantha said to him with her hand on his shoulder. He wiped the perspiration dripping off his brows as he tried to catch his breath.

Half-hidden behind thick overgrown trees. I didn’t think. I sprinted toward it, my breath ragged, my legs screaming in protest. I reached the door, yanking it open, the rusted hinges groaning in protest. I stumbled inside, my knees hitting the dirt floor. Silence. Darkness. The scent of old wood, of dust, of hay. A safe place. At least for now. A moment later, Henry staggered in after me, his fur streaked with blood. He shifted as he fell to his knees, his breath ragged.

Daniel whispered in her ear. "Hold on, baby, we will leave. Let's just take a few more looks, then we'll leave," she assured him, and he nodded, though she could still see the fear written all over his face. She had never seen him this scared. "Henry, why does everywhere look like this? I didn't expect the inside to be like a graveyard," she complained. The thought of him bringing her kid and her here to stay triggered something in her. Something wasn't right. The Henry she knew wouldn't be this wicked to send them to their early grave. If everywhere looked like this now, she wondered how it would be at night.

Henry slept peacefully, Emilio stood guard, Ashley supported me and for a brief moment, the chaos outside didn’t exist. But the whispers in the hallway remained, allowing themselves into my thoughts as Fernando’s words echoed in my mind. “The other Dons are not happy he’s alive.” A shiver ran down my spine. I had survived bullets, betrayal, and the chaos of Damian’s attacks, yet the gnawing feeling of danger and threats just beyond the door, refused to stop. Henry shifted in his sleep, curling closer to me, and I found myself marveling at how quickly he had become part of this fragile new normal.

The drive to Alexander’s penthouse was silent — not peaceful, but tense, heavy, wrapped in fear neither of them dared to name. Lena stared out the window as the city lights blurred past, her heartbeat an unsteady rhythm. Danger wasn’t just at work anymore. It had followed her home. Inside her home. She wasn’t safe anywhere. Alexander kept one hand on the wheel, the other gripping the console so tightly his knuckles turned white. Every red light seemed to agitate him. Every shadow made him look twice.

“Rudeness irritates me.” Amara swallowed hard. She’d just witnessed the edge of his world, the ruthlessness that kept men like him in power. It was terrifying. It was intoxicating. And it left her dangerously unsteady. Amara forced herself to breathe evenly, though every nerve screamed in warning. Dante had returned to that relaxed, seductive composure, but she couldn’t erase the flash of danger she’d just seen, the lethal man beneath the charming exterior. Your safety is at stake. You should never have even known he had a wife and kids. Damn it, Henry. He even showed you their picture." I have to stop talking for a moment because I can feel a lump of emotion rise in my throat. I can see Gabriele and Stella's smiling faces again. Henry blinks quickly and slumps into his chair. He now stares at me:

Juliette slid into the seat across from him. “Why did you leave, Henry?” He sighed, finally meeting her eyes. “Because it stopped being about business. This….this war. It’s becoming something else. Something dangerous”. “It’s always been dangerous,” she replied. “You knew that. Damon trusted you. I trusted you as well”. Henry ran a hand down his face. “Juliette, they got to me. They found out about my sister’s debt, she borrowed money from a shell company tied to Celeste, without knowing. And now they’re threatening her kids”.

The bars clanged shut behind him, locked with a heavy padlock before the men walked away. Henry lifted his gaze and saw the same boy who had lured him away during the Halloween event. The boy stood quietly at the entrance, his face soft and angelic, so gentle that anyone would believe he could do no harm. His beauty was almost disarming, yet Henry sensed a threat beneath the innocence.
