I took a deep breath and put the most convincing smile I had on my face, ready to tell him that I could turn around, however, a loud thunder echoed and made me jump, closing my eyes in distress.

They spun around. Standing at the edge of the courtyard was Echo-1. But he looked different. His eyes were no longer those of a child. They were glowing with the same faint, blue light Panni had seen in the Angkor Vault. He held a small, black object in his hand—the remote Vira had used in Thailand. "The 'Harvest' wasn't about the Legion," Echo-1 said, his voice sounding like a thousand whispers. "It was about the transmission. Vira didn't swallow the Aconite Pulse to kill you. She swallowed it to become the Broadcaster."
