Bill places my hands for me, one under her chin and then on the back.
“Teddy,” Evelyn begs, but Ted is only looking at me.
“When you do this, you have to use all your strength, and twist,” Bill explains. “As you twist, pull up and twist again.”
“Teddy, please, if you ever loved me, please don’t let her do this!” Evelyn cries again.
I twist, pull up and twist again. I hear a pop, but not a crack. Evelyn screams as I continue to pull and twist.
“You got this, twist harder,” Bill encourages over her screams.
