“Everything is ready, boss. Don’t worry.” I wasn’t so interested in the preparations that I knew for sure were in the best hands. All I wanted was to maintain a significant distance from Eddy and his uncertainties. I was afraid of the influence he might have on me. I didn’t want my insecurity and distrust of her to grow any further. That night, I needed her enchanting charms in order to successfully seduce Luke Evans. After a tiring walk, as soon as I entered, my attention was drawn to the exaggerated security Eddy had arranged.

I sigh, while I get back in my seat. Gavin gives me a brief glance and then turns back to Edward. “How did this happen?” He asks. Edward rakes his fingers through his hair. “There seemed to be a breach of security,” he reports. I hear Gavin's sigh.. On the other hand, I'm trying to process all this. Just a few seconds ago, I was trying to process Gavin's proposal and now I have to shift my mood for the worse. This is like a blow.. I haven't even been a boss for that long and then this?

I think there have been 21 incoming calls plus an incoming call from Hamdan. Edward's facial condition also seemed unpredictable. I was confused to see Edward's face which instead looked amazed to see Damian's face. “A-are you Damian? CEO of J-group?” he exclaimed drawing closer to Damian. In fact, I saw that Edward's hand had touched Damian's arm and immediately shuddered in horror. How come today's men, mostly like Edward? I could see Damian's uncomfortable face. “Yeah, go over there and don't bother anyone's girlfriend. Want to be an actor HAH?” Damian snapped

Eddie shrugged. “Married woman?” “Yes, Thackeray. Alex doesn’t want me to work late.” “Alex?” “Have you turned into a parrot, Thackeray?” She snapped her fingers at him aggressively. His stupefied face was grating on her nerves. Thackeray shook his head, “I’m sorry. Who are you and what have you done with my friend?” “Very funny,” Eddie shook her head. The bell chimed at that moment and Eddie practically leaped up from her desk. She shoved her work documents into a secure drawer and locked it.

I have nothing left inside. Eddie studied the flimsy metal railing on the front porch. It was so fascinating and intricate, and he had never seen it before in such a light. “I already called them,” he said. “Syrina has a performance and Rikki-Tikki is down with a particularly nasty flu. I even thought about Chad, but . . . ” He didn’t bother to finish the sentence, because the idea of Chad the Fish Guy and Bryony flying anywhere together didn’t particularly make him happy.

“I love talking shit, tell me what she did.” I took a drink of my mocha and stared at him. I didn’t know what to think—should I trust him? I was starting to believe Lillian and look where that put me. I couldn’t say with full certainty that Eddie was the same; I never really knew him. But if I didn’t open up, I’d either be eaten alive by my own anxiety, or I’d remain alone…and both thoughts didn’t seem appealing. Eddie turned to look at Lilian again. “I could ask her,” he said thoughtfully.

My voice cracked without me trying. Edwards' only sign of distress was the way he winked at me twice. I have never seen him blink twice. Not when a deal he made for two years blows up and certainly not when his grandfather dies. It makes me… insecure. I stiffened my spine and turned back to Emma. “We are ready to move forward with our future. There's no reason to keep our love a secret anymore." Ross hands me two thumbs behind Emma's back. He deserved an Oscar before prompting Edwards to smile with two middle fingers.

Daisy rattled off one question after another as Eddie rocked from side to side as if he had no control over his own body. “Why haven’t you contacted Torque?” Daisy asked as tears welled in her eyes. “Do you have any idea how worried I’ve been?” “What’s going on?” Kenzie asked as she came up to us and closed off the only exit Eddie had. Eddie pounded his hands to his head and trembled. “The guy is on drugs,” Sam said. “Daisy, are you sure you know him?” “Eddie, come back to me. Talk to me,” Daisy begged as Eddie looked up and licked his dried lips.

Bianca gets scared of things easily, she might freak out and pass out. The door suddenly opened and she walked in with a nervous smile but Eddy was too nervous to notice she was also nervous, she hugged him tightly and he smiled. “Babe.” She called and rubbed her hands together. “I have something to tell you.” Eddy said. “I also have something to tell you, can I say mine first?” She asked. with a sigh. “Sure, is something wrong?” Eddy asked finally noticing how worried she looked. “Yeah, but it is not a bad thing but I don't know how you will take it.” She said and Eddy became scared.
