The green house door was unlocked and Eden pushed it open, glancing around cautiously before entering, while Toby, who didn't bother with such superfluous precautions, slipped between her legs.
“Ah... yes, a vegetable garden... legumes,” Eden murmured as he took in the plantings.
As the Mistress of the house, she couldn't help but be pleased with the rows of vegetables, the espaliered fruit trees, all the glass frames and pretty greenhouses.
“Yes, vegetables, and beautiful ones! But if that damn dog comes back and digs up my asparagus, I'll give him a rake”
