That’s domestic as hell.” I roll my eyes and set it down on the counter. “Clock me in before I reconsider my life choices.” She taps her keyboard. “Already done.” I settle into my station, headphones on, screen glowing to life. The footage today is straightforward, it’s a campus B-roll, student interviews, a clip from a panel discussion that needs trimming for pacing. The hour passes faster than I expect. There’s something about editing that steadies me. The focus. The control. Finding rhythm where there was none. It feels… earned.
