“The arena is enormous.” Viktor whispered as they walked in, and that was Lukas's first thought too. It was not the scouts, not the championship, and not even the cameras.
It was the arena.
The building looked less like a hockey stadium and more like something designed specifically to make everybody nervous.
Thousands of seats stretched endlessly beneath bright lights, giant screens hung from the ceiling and banners from different teams filled the space with color, noise and movement.
Everywhere Lukas looked, there were people. If they weren't players, they were coaches or officials, reporters, or scouts.
