Cameron was less reserved, weeping wetly and openly, growing sweaty as he always did when highly emotional, so that the scent of the salt of his sweat mingled with the scents of Talen, Heath, and blood.
“Let’s have a look at you,” Rhett pulled back and caught Heath’s face between his hands, searching it for any sign of the change. There was nothing obvious, other than a red backlight to his mate’s eyes. “Show me your teeth,” Rhett mimed what he wanted and laughed when he saw that Heath, indeed, had the longer canines and pre-molars of a vampire, longer than those of a werewolf. “Wow that’s some dental equipment.”
“He wields them well,” Talen rumbled his approval.
