Elijah sighed. “That is precisely what worries me.” “Why?” Edwin asked. “Because you’re no longer thinking like an Alpha.” Elijah said bitterly. Edwin’s voice became firmer.“Perhaps I am thinking like a man.”

He felt numb for a moment while Rebecca didn't flinch her eyes from him and repeated her words, " Just give me an answer. Why did you leave me the next morning?" Edwin frowned deeply with worry because his answer would hurt her more but he had no choice but to speak at last, "Because I just guessed you are the same as other women who will forget about everything after getting big compensation from me." His eyes went down with shame while his hands turned into fists to feel too wrong at this moment. . .

I walked close to Edwin and stopped in front of him. "Sir," I called with a soft tone. "You need to calm down. You don't know how bigger and better you are compared to River." Edwin blinked. The squeeze around his brows reduced, and his face softened a little. "I don't know what happened. But, I know that you are a good person." "Leave," Edwin told me calmly. I bowed mockingly in front of him before walking out of the room. I headed straight to the store. I packed the cleaning equipment in their right position and quickly sat on the floor there.

Edwin pursed his lips and tightly gripped his phone. He didn't speak when he saw him over there, and his tone softened a bit. "Aren't you supposed to stay at Watercliff for a while? I'll talk to Hunter and ask him to be more lenient. You must behave yourself, understand?" No one doubted Edwin's abilities, if he had really messed up, the Vazquez family and Hunter would have been sure to become enemies. Edwin is a double-edged sword, used well can be invincible, used poorly, then it is making enemies everywhere.

They were standing on the balcony and looking outside to enjoy the view. Edwin was taking a drag from his cigarette and looked at Jordan. “Rubbish,” Edwin said, dissatisfied. He liked Janet, but he wasn’t head over heels. “Ha hah ha,” Jordan burst into laughter. “Typical, Edwin Wilson. Stubborn like always.” Jordan said, patting Edwin’s shoulder. “Man, let me give you a man-to-man advice. Good looks never work always.” Jordan said and Edwin raised his brow as if asking what he meant.

Edwin's POV He gestured toward the chair opposite his desk without so much as glancing up. As I moved closer, I noticed him squinting at something on his desk. When I finally reached him, I saw it was my resume he was scrutinizing. “Edwin Reed,” his deep, gravelly voice resonated in the room, causing a shiver to run down my spine. “Tell me about yourself.”

Jace's POV: "What's up, Edwin? Long time no see. You have changed," I told my buddy as I hugged him warmly. "You have changed too. Looking more fierce and handsome," Edwin teased me, and I smiled. "I am not fierce," I said to Edwin as I smiled at his words. Edwin was still a cheerful person and also bubbly. It was a pity that he couldn't get the woman that he wanted. Mandy, she was married now and a mother of twins.
