Xassin. Erebus’ eyes are always the first thing I notice about him. They are ever changing in shape and colour, like a kaleidoscope. Today they were slowly drifting between crimson and topaz. He sat on the chair with the two other elder gods, Ra and Zurvan. They were all too composed on those thrones of theirs—the big three, as the others called them. Personally, I had seen stronger gods in my travels, gods that were simply uninterested in this hierarchy that was put in place, and exiles, demons that could make universes tremble with their power. You have humanity in you, they are all God or Goddess. What are those tattoos?” Dimitri said eyeing my sides. “Those are her Soul Mate Marks. Her essence changed too. And she has Wings. Wings Dad.” DJ said excited.

“The ones your mother used to tell you and your brothers when you were younger?” “Which ones?” Alex pushed further, leaning against the bookshelf, unsure of where this conversation was headed. He had never seen this side of his father. “The ones of the old Gods and Goddesses,” Kevin chimed in, his eyes distant as he stared out of the window, looking at the sunset. “The Old Gods?” Alex repeated a confused look clouding his eyes. “Yes, like Odin, Loki, Eir, Freya...” Kevin answered, “do you remember the ones I’m talking about? Do you know the stories?”

Her happiness was short-lived. As soon as the race was over she leaned back in her seat to laugh over the sour defeat of the dragons but caught the sight of a familiar figure from the side of her eyes. It was the figure of Adna, the goddess of excess and as was natural to her, she held a jar of mead in one hand while the other dangled over the shoulder of a very beautiful male Aloni. Adna was a beautiful dark head goddess, willowy and tall but her elegance was destroyed by her love for the mead. She was laughing and staggering drunkenly. She caught sight of Helena and went over to meet her. The Aloni stood behind her as a show of submission as he bowed his head in Helena’s direction.

"Satan, Lucifer, the serpent". He shifts his gaze to Martha. “And Hades, Lilitu, Seth and what else the not so nice gods are called”. He returns to Soleil. "Where do you think the dark ones come from ?"

It was the mentioning of Alicia's name that had brought the conversation to my attention. As I reached the grand hall I found my brothers, all but one discussing and arguing heatedly about the blood sources of the city and about slaves. I had four brothers, Adras and Yura and Matheius was the ones I knew the best even though that did not count for as much. Then there was Daras, the high priest. I had never believed in the nonsense of the "the god created us" story. But he sure was making it hard to avoid him with the amount of power he possessed. I was next in line as it came to the rank of power and then there was Adras, Yura and last Matheius.

It had some poorly translated sub-titles running along the bottom and seemed to be a series of lectures on morality and how the gods would punish sinners in one or more of the Werewolf religion’s four hells. Why they needed four hells had never been made quite clear to Keanna. From what she could figure out, each one specialized in various transgressions, though all of them seemed equally unpleasant. She tried not to question Haggoz too much about it. It pleased him for Keanna to watch the lectures, and that was enough.
