At the heart stood a massive black crystal, pulsing like a beating heart. The whispers turned to screams. “Destroy it and lose yourself.” “Save them and damn your soul.” “Choose, hybrid. Power… or love?” Elora’s hands trembled as she raised them. The crystal glowed brighter, fighting her light with its own darkness. “I’m not choosing between them,” she whispered. “I choose BOTH.” She let the silver fire consume her, merging with her very being.
