Escaping With Eve
Over those two years, Eve and I had slowly collected gasoline, soaking the altar floor with it.
I struck the match, and a small flame flickered to life in the darkness.
It was a faint one, but it was enough.
I tossed the lit match onto the ground.
Quickly, sparks flew, and the flames engulfed everything, trapping them in a raging fire.
They frantically ran, their screams, cries, and pleas blending together in despair.
Gradually, all their voices were swallowed by the fire.
The flames burned throughout the night. By dawn, there was almost no trace left of the villagers.
