KAREN My heart beats hard in my chest as I walk towards the elevator. I hope Henley will forgive me for leaving him hanging like that. That kiss wasn't meant to happen. The elevator rings and the doors open up to our luxurious penthouse, white walls everywhere with golden decorations. Axel brushes past me amd walks straight to the glass window looking out on the forest, putting his palms over his mouth without a single word. " Henry's voice was icy. Denny and his men quickly got up and took the elevator. They waited in the elevator nervously, hoping Henry would not change his mind. "Why is there always an elevator?" Jack stepped toward it. The Hollowsmith grabbed his arm. "Do not trust direct routes." "Can we take an indirect elevator?" Haley raised a hand. "I vote stairs." He felt an overwhelming need to go after her and he did but before he could get to the doors closed shut and the elevator started moving. The three disappeared behind the closed elevator doors. Davero was focused on his cellphone until the elevator door opened. He got out of the elevator without paying attention to the road, then collided with a woman. Climbing out of the car, I respond to his greeting and hand the key over to him so he can park the car well. The honking of horns from the street fills the air. Everywhere is bustling and alive with activities. I walk into the lobby of the building and another security by the elevator door smiles up at me and greets too.
