Fenris smiled, helping her up.
Elara looked at her reflection in the polished silver of Kael's tray. Her hair was still blonde, her face still hers, but her eyes... they were a piercing, crystalline blue that glowed with an inner light. And as she looked down, she realized her ears were still pointed and covered in a fine, silver fuzz.
"The ears stay?" she asked, touching one. It flicked under her finger.
"For a few hours," Kael grunted, though his eyes were kind. "The first shift always leaves a few... leftovers. It’ll pass. Now, eat, Luna. You’ve had a busy night of accusing us of murder and hitting my Alpha."
