His voice trailed off as he was finally dragged out of the church. Tracy was crying on the altar beside Ryan, her makeup a mess. There was mascara running down her cheeks, and the best efforts of her bridesmaid couldn’t keep her from ruining the makeup. As though on cue, paparazzi began to flood into the church, taking pictures of Ryan and Tracy, who was holding onto Ryan’s hand and pleading with him to forgive her.

I now know where it came from. “Hmm madam must have a lot of admirers already.” Tracy said with a laugh and I responded with forced laughter, hoping she did not see beyond that humour. A minute later, she was out of my office and I was left alone with total silence.
