Mason lifted one last balloon and aimed it straight at my chest.
And I braced myself for the impact, but before it could hit me, someone jumped in front of me.

The balloon exploded against his back, soaking his blue jacket immediately. “Don’t worry, Amber, I got you,” he managed to utter.
“I can’t even look at you right now,” Elsa hissed at Mason and stormed off. “You disgust me.”
“Wait, baby, I didn’t mean it like that, I—” he stammered, chasing after her.
