Don’t follow me.” But I couldn’t let her go. The spell left my lips before I thought. A barrier shimmered across the doorway, silver and strong. Elsa slammed into it with her hand, growling in frustration. Sparks flew as her aura flared against it. “Let me out!” Her voice shook with rage. Her eyes turned golden, burning like fire in the dim room. I whispered another word, another spell, and the circle closed around her, wrapping her in light, holding her where she stood.

I turned sharply, my breath catching in my throat as Elara stepped inside. She moved with quiet confidence, the torchlight flickering against her dark hair. But it wasn’t just the way she entered that left the Elders speechless. It was the way she knelt before them. I froze. Murmurs rippled through the chamber, disbelief thick in the air. “I am Elara,” she said, her voice clear and commanding. “I am the Lunar Alpha.” Silence. A stunned hush fell over the room, the weight of her words sinking into the stone walls.

ELSA “What do you mean she has to stay here with us?” I ask as I pace the around the room while Leo soys across from me, his legs crossed and his devilishly handsome face poised with something indescribable. “I'm only going to say this once, Elsa,” he gives me a bored look that makes my heart clench before he concludes his statement, “Sarah has been through a lot and I have to be there for her!”

Not wanting to give away that something was wrong—for fear her parents would send her back home—she quickly composed herself. The pull to her magic was strong, as if it had been amplified. After Elisa hit you, and you passed out, she told me that your wolf recognized Alpha Edward as your mate. So, I cut some strands of your hair and quickly did a spell to suppress your wolf, so Alpha Edward’s wolf wouldn’t realize you are his mate.
