The celebration of the engagement of my sweet step-sister Emma Reynolds and my not-so-charming ex-husband, Xander." Everyone's eyes were on me, and despite the fact I had a confident smile on my face, I was nervous deep down because of him.

In a second, Emerald’s facial expression went from anger to the neutral face of a perfect role model. “Miss Heinrich, forgive my rude manners. I was in such a rush that I accidentally bumped into your shoulder.” She placed out her hand and with a dazzling smile, she introduced herself once more. “My name’s Emerald Stone. Hope I can make a better impression next time.” Giselle looked down at her waiting hand, and instead of shaking it, she picked up a drink and took a sip from it, keeping her gaze locked with Emerald’s ocean green orbs as she did so.

Chapter Seventy-Seven "What's up?" Jethro asked. Z stood next to him, placing down documents related to Emma Greene. "Emma Greene comes from an orphanage, she had a talent for music from a young age and was once a piano artist. However, she had an accident that damaged her nerves, and couldn't perform in concerts anymore," Z said. Jethro raised an eyebrow at this information. "Emma Greene knows Harvey because they met at a party before she had her accident. If we talk about appearances, she really looks like Madam Gemma," Z said, surprised that two people could look like twins.

En Adela looked at her face and said seriously, 'Then tell me, are all the things you said before true?' Ginger Geller's eyes widened, and he seemed incredulous: 'Of course it's all true. If one word I said is false, I'll be thunderstruck!' En Adela's expression slowed down a bit: 'Then what is your relationship with them?' Ginger Geller's face stiffened for a moment. After a pause, her face didn't turn red. She raised her chin directly and proudly replied, 'This woman, she has been targeting me everywhere, just because she likes Javen, and I'm the one Javen likes.'

Zoomed. She stood just at the edge of the crowd, still as night, eyes scanning the room like she wasn’t part of it at all. Not hunting. Not hiding. Just… watching. Elma. Or whatever her real name was. Her hair was swept into a loose bun, neck exposed. She wore emerald green, I remembered. Her lips barely curved…just enough to make you wonder if she knew something you didn’t. And her eyes… There was something familiar in them. Something quiet. Dangerous.

- I reached a final decision after pondering on it for a while. "Okay. I'll send you the details, I'm leaving now" - she turned to the meek girl with the huge framed glasses. "She's in your hands now" - she smiled before heading out the door. Without Rachel around, my attention turned to the young lady, "I believe introductions are in order. My name is Selene Woods and you?" - I initated a formal introduction between us both. "Bennett Gale, I'm an intern at the agency and I'm also a big fan of your movies, ma'am" - she spoke excitedly with a big grin on her face.

Em’s heartbeat finally slowed down, she could take a deep breath, and willed herself to stop shaking. Once she had done that, she turned to look at Quinn, who was already staring at her, and said: “What the hell is a g-gal?”
