Lena's POV. “Hello, ma'am,” the doctor waved his left hand, and felt my pulse with his right hand. “How many fingers am I holding up?” “Can I get a name? Can you speak?” He continued, not even giving me a chance to think or respond. He suddenly stopped and pointed a little fluorescent light in my eyes. I squinted and groaned inaudibly from lying stiff for far too long. “Four, My name is Lena, and I think I can… talk,” I replied in a second, gulping as the man behind him moved closer and fixed his gaze on me.

It was clear that Dana didn't recognize her and for some reason, it annoyed Maria. "So what do I owe this visit?" Maria asked. "I just came from Italy and after hearing the devastating news about your company, I decided it was best to see for myself and decide whether I could be of help." Dana said with all seriousness, it was almost as if she was pleading.

Camilla said very comfortingly to Iris as she pulled away. " I ... I am still shock " slowly she turn to Emma with a confused innocent expression. Camilla noticed this so she quickly did a simple introduction. " She's in the Santinos family too. We are all the same. Married to the Mafia members and working for Boss. Her name is Emma. I told her about you already " Slowly iris turn to Emma and the later pulled her into a hug too. " You are so beautiful " Emma commented " And sexy in boss's shirt " She finished with a playful smile that makes Iris to blushed gently.

Emma’s POV I pressed the strap of my backpack tighter against my shoulder as I stared up at the wide glass entrance of Manatee High School. The sun glared against the polished windows, and for a moment, my reflection stared back at me : messy curls tied back in a ponytail, hazel eyes that revealed too much nervousness, and a old cardigan over a faded white blouse.

11 ADRIAN My stomach lurched as I watched Anne sidle up to Annalisa, a sly smile playing on her lips. Annalisa, blissfully unaware, was engrossed in a conversation with Beatrice. A prickle of unease ran down my spine. There was something about Anne’s posture, the way she held the wine glass a little too close to her body, that set off my internal alarm bells.

Her voice irritates me, my irritation grows even more each time I hear it. "Hm, nice to meet you too Serena," I lie. "And you too Marco, long time no see," I add. He smiles, "Yes, our last meeting was…honorable." Emma clears her throat, "Hi, everyone. I'm starving, can we order?" She attempts to lighten the mood. "Of course, she's starving, she looks like she's been starving her whole life," Serena mutters. "Peasant." She says under her breath. "Apologize," I bark, furious.
