I went to the row where there were books about different parts of Valeria. I saw there a book about Samona, Caracass, Avalone, and Valencia. There was also a book about monsters in the Valeria forest and Eleftheria caught my eye.

Her feet were crossed behind her, moving from side to side as the rest of her body moved to whatever tune was playing in her mind. I found myself constantly distracted by her movements. The emails were going unanswered while she was reading one of those sex books she’d found in one of the rooms. One of my wolves enjoyed some kinky books, which I didn’t have a problem with Emma reading. Anything that got my woman hot and horny was only a benefit to me.

They wandered through the aisles, running their fingers along spines that held countless worlds within their pages. Emily's eyes sparkled with excitement as she plucked a weathered book from the shelf. "Liam, look at this," she exclaimed, her voice filled with wonder. I told him one afternoon, reading one of his letters. Elijah was sitting next to me, with one hand on my belly. “Emmett has included a reading plan for the first year,” he said with amusement. “What books?” I asked, frowning. “Inter-tribe political history, an introduction to defensive strategy, and illustrated animal stories,” Elijah said with amusement. “At least he added some stories,” I muttered sarcastically. “The note says they’re meant to be a break between serious topics,” Elijah said seriously. I brought a hand to my face.

We could be overheard. For now, I have this for you.” She dug into the satchel at her hip and pulled out three leather bound books. “These are all the books I found on waking memory, I have two more coming here from a friend. I want you to start reading them. It's time you learned all you can do.”

Emmett had come up behind me and the wolf’s eyes went wide. “The Gamma who went rogue,” he chuckled lightly as Emmett walked to the rock, lifting it to retrieve a folded slip of paper. I kept my eyes on the wolf as Emmett unfolded the paper and stepped beside me so we could both glance at it. It was a child’s coloring page with a picture of a parrot and a phoenix. There was an unusual amount of black in the picture. Mostly in the background. There was also some green on the parrot and violet around the phoenix instead of the usual reds and oranges.

She never could have stomached doing this with him if she didn't want a baby. "Emma." In ten minutes, he was on his way to his meeting. Emma showered and dressed, hoping that maybe this time she would get pregnant. At least she had her friends to see tonight. A few women from the pack who had befriended her despite the rumors that swirled around her. She grabbed her book, then headed downtown to the bookstore. Fang City was a small town that was shrouded from human sight by magic. Fang City Books hosted several types of book clubs.

I nodded encouragement, curious myself about what Alex had chosen. She took the bag cautiously, as if it might contain something dangerous. Peering inside, her eyes widened. "Wow." "What is it, Em?" I asked, moving closer. She pulled out three books – beautifully illustrated hardcovers about space exploration, female scientists, and a novel featuring a young girl inventor. They were exactly the kind of books she loved, just like her had gotten her yesterday. "These are... really cool," she admitted reluctantly, examining the covers. "I wanted to read this one, but the library doesn't have it yet."
