SWEET SPOT
I smiled, trying to ease the tension.
“I’ll go first,” I said. “I actually started having feelings for you the day I saw you working at Subway. You were taking orders, smiling at customers, looking so joyful and kind even though you were clearly tired. Something about that moment… it hit me. That was the day my heart started beating differently for you.”
Her eyes widened in surprise, and a faint blush deepened on her cheeks. It was adorable.
“And you?” I asked gently.
She was quiet for a long moment before finally whispering, “I fell in love with you at first sight… the day my brother introduced you as his best friend.”
