“When you tell a story you are setting a contract with your audience. You don’t say to them ‘Let me tell you something that happened in real life,’ you say, ‘Let me tell you a story.’ People look to stories to give them the things that real life doesn’t.” “Such as?” “In real life your problems are rarely resolved, you don’t get closure on the situations or relationships that have most impact on your life. Your father never explains why he didn’t say how proud you made him. Your ex-wife never apologies for cheating on you repeatedly. Bad people aren’t punished for their crimes and good people go unrewarded for their virtue. We look to stories to give us the closure and the resolution we so de

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

Yet the emotional weight pressed heavily on my chest, a tight knot of stress that refused to ease. I closed my eyes and whispered under my breath, repeating the words like a mantra. "I swear I love my job. I swear I love my job." Again and again in the quiet car. "I swear I love my job." Because I did. The breakthroughs, the raw trust built through touch, the way clients walked out lighter and more alive. It had to be worth the exhaustion, the constant navigation of boundaries and feelings. It had to be. After several more repetitions I finally exhaled, switched off the interior light, and stepped out of the car. The side door to the house opened before I even reached it.

“A film production company interested in your story?” “A film?” “Apparently someone thinks your journey from abused wife to international advocate would make compelling viewing.” “Absolutely not.” “I figured. But Em, look at this.” She shows me another screen full of messages. “These are personal emails. Women writing to thank you, to share their own stories, to ask for advice.” I scroll through them, reading fragments of lives changed by a twenty-minute speech. Women who'd been planning to leave for months and finally found the courage. Others who'd never considered leaving until they heard someone talk about life after escape.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

She opened the email thoughtfully. “I’m reconsidering.” God. He laughed softly. “That fast?” “I still reserve the right to become emotionally hostile halfway through.” “Fair.” Elena smiled faintly while rereading the request. Then softly: “If we do this…” Her eyes found his carefully. “…I don’t want the story to be about how much pain we survived.” Silence. “I want it to be about who we became afterward.” God. Emotion visibly moved through him immediately. Because yes. That was the real story now.

Rainey Weather

Rainey Weather

So here I was, in the cove on pack lands that was well hidden from the other pack members, trying to harness the water that called to my soul. “You need to find the one emotion that triggers it. And I can already tell you it isn’t anger, so focus on the one you know you have to but don’t want to,” Tell told me. I huffed. He was right. Anger wasn’t my emotion. Anger wasn’t tied to water. It was sadness. And I was fighting that. “I don’t like having to cry every time I need to move water,” I told him flatly which made him chuckle.

So far the story is very intriguing and interesting. There are a few errors here and there but nothing that takes away from the story being enjoyable. It moves at a good pace and it’s not repetitive which is a nice change for this app. The author seems to care about their craft again that is a plus

That was her weak point and he knew it but he decided to be using it against her. To use a word to define him, she will definitely go for romantic. Since the day he told her about his love for her, he has been nothing but caring and romantic toward her. With a smile plastered on her face, she turned facing his hard chest. " About a guy who stole my heart and doesn't want to return it" She confessed. He lets out a hearty laugh."I think I know this guy but he did it for a reason." He told her and as a result of that, she cuddled more into his arms. They felt just like home.
