The Mafioso’s Forced Bride
We're already on our way to the cemetery.
They're silent the whole ride there, which is depressing and awkward all at once. They were talking back in the kitchen, so why don't they talk now? They could say anything, just something to break this grim silence.
Enzo parks the car and they climb out. Before I get to open my door, he opens it for me. I take his hand as I step out. He doesn't let go of it, and I don't make a big deal out of it. Even though Aurelio is upset, he looks at the way we're holding hands. It makes me blush and feel embarrassed; even so, I don't let go.
